Sitcks and Balls of color (day 2 LE-Drizzie's)

Fan swinging overhead, the mandalorian looked at the table with heavy consideration. He could make a simple enough shot but if he made the angle just right he could put two in the bag.

In the end he followed his friend's old motto, 'Always go for the Glory!', and aimed for the double.

He missed

My aim is terrible these days he bemoaned silently to himself with a shake of the head

While the job was promising and already was starting to deliver he couldn't but find that something was missing. He had a good idea of what but not real clue how to fix it or if he should.

Playing alone, he aimed to do another tricky shot: You don't get better by doing the easy thing.

She coughed a fraction of a second before he made the shot. Possibly making him miss again. Almost like she'd done it on purpose.

Behind him was the scavenger girl. Or was it the magician? Well. One of the two, maybe? It was coincidence of course; she'd just gone in for a final drink; she hadn't expected to find a mandalorian playing pool. Certainly not one whose armor she recognized. Might as well say hello. The mando paused after the shot got astray...again. The blue stripped ball curved left and bounced against the side to return straight in the center.

He grunted as he looked up.

''Tyllia'' he spoke in recognition ''Fancy meeting you here''

"I thought mandalorians were into shooting guns, not shooting pool," she said, deadpan.

''We can do both you know'' he looked back at the table ''It's like your conjuring and scavenging. One does not stop the other.''

He reached for the cue chalk

''You play?'' he tilted his head towards the cues on the wall

She shrugged, and found herself a stick. A different one than the one she was already carrying. "I'm not a conjurer. That's just Manny not knowing his own tricks."

''You are not?'' he rolled his head ''I am both disappointed and relieved''

He fetched the triangle and ordered the balls

''Let's flip a coin to see who starts''

She shrugged. "No need, you can start."

[J-Richo Toboga]

He nodded ''Very well''

The man walked slowly around the table, looking to find the right angle before removing the triangle.

''Been on Bellionas for long?''

Corner left

He leaned forward and aimed his cue to strike

"A whole two days. Actually came aboard the same ship that droid did, if you can believe it."

This time she did not mess up his shot.

''The BX you mean?'' he stepped away from the table to let her shoot ''It seems a lot of people arrived on that ship. Are you establishing yourself here or are you just passing?''

She didn't really have the coordination of a shooter; of either pool or bullets. Still, she made a valiant effort.

"Oh I think you know the answer," she made her shot, and missed. "But let's say, I go where the work is. And yes. The BX. Don't see a lot of those anymore."

''Most were instantly deactivated, I hear.'' he looked a this next target ''That model must be exceptional or someone reactivated it at some point.''

''I was'nt aware people traveled between worlds for places to scavenge'' the cue struck

"Got to earn your way somehow if you want to see the galaxy," she said with a shrug. "And that droid's had many different owners. Haven't done a good job with maintenance on it either, given how it acted on the ship. Would've had a word with its current owner if it didn't decide that information was classified."

The Toboga aligned another ball and struck again

''Scavenging does not seem like something profitable to go place from place...then again a skilled one might find the just right thing.''

He leaned on the table to get a better view on his next strike

''Looking for something specific?''

[Tyllia Demici]

"Maybe," she said.

There was, of course, but nothing she'd be inclined to talk about.

"But it's not like scavenging is all I do."

In fact, it was something she almost never did.

"You pick up jobs where you can find them."

''Ain't that the truth.''

This would be the last of his series of strikes, his last one bounce on the wall a few hairs away from the hole

''Allright, your turn''

She started lining up her shot.

"Speaking of," she said as she considered the angles of the shot, "was that a job for you, down there? Going after the gangs? Or was that just some warrior stuff?"

He observe the alignment of her cue while she spoke

''I was scouting to find something advantageous for the...Poplar appreciation society'' he replied truthfully ''I was also bored from the trip here so prospect for valiant combat was enjoyable.''

This time; when she struck; the ball actually went where it was supposed to go. "Tried figuring out how they made those axes work the way they did, but couldn't make sense of it. Thought about trying to sell them, but, haven't really figured out where I'd look to get that done."
