Business as Usual (D2, EM)

[Lassa Tenro]

Lassa came into the Sapphire Lounge professionally dressed. She was somewhat surprised to be asked to come to a bar so early in the morning but was impressed by the ambiance of the locale. She made herself known to the hostess who at the unenviable job of being present here so early in the morning.

"I was told to meet Dr. Novar here this morning... Would you be so kind to direct me to her room?"

[Meiyokashi]

A young human woman with a bouncy demeanor greeted her. Brunette hair cut short underneath a small uniform cap. Arms crossed delicately over the main terminal set into a podium which she stood behind, "Not yet-" she glances over Lassa a moment, "but her people have called ahead and made us aware that you would be coming up. While you are awaiting Dr. Novar you may find a seat within the lounge and don't forget to ask for anything you might need while you're waiting. Dr. Novar has generously allowed any refreshments or services you require while waiting for her to be placed on her tab," she recited off with a cheery smile.

Lassa smiled in return, “How generous of her. I’ll simply take some water with whatever kind of citrus fruit you may have available.”

She found a seat in the lounge and sat with perfect posture, waiting for her new employer to arrive.

[Meiyokashi]

Dr. Novar arrives far later than originally anticipated, nearing half an hour after Lassa had finally sat down. Additionally, when she did arrive she wasn't alone but in the company of a woman with a multitude of facial scars whom Lassa may recall. The woman in tow is another individual from her past on Kamda, the daughter of the former governor of Kamda who served and serves within the special operations sector of the Imperial military. Dressed in sleek officer attire and apparently currently assigned to protecting one of the Empire's valued scientists.

Dr. Novar herself was dressed regally and approached with a gait which betrays her history of growing up in the higher class among the galaxy. Approaching to Lassa's side she smiled to the younger woman and gave her a look over.

[Lassa Tenro]

Lassa greeted the regal woman with a proper bow of acknowledgment.

“Dr. Novar, I am Lassa Tenro. Here for your assistance.”

She then looked over to the person accompanying her. “Commander Talcik, a pleasure to see you again.”

OOC: I wasn’t sure of the woman’s rank but Lassa would probably know. So please assume she greeted her properly.

[Dr. Fianna Novar]

Lassa received a curt nod from the commander and nothing more.

"A pleasure, Lassa Tenro," she offered with a smile and dipped her head in way of formal greeting. Stepping beside Lassa she began to walk with the expectation of her company. Leading her over toward the stairs and upwards, "I've a desire to get to know you a bit more if you'll be aiding me. It is not often I make public appearances but having someone on hand to make sure they run smoother sounds exactly like what I need on occasion. Does that sound like something you can manage?" she looked to her with another pristine smile, by this time it was clear it was one more of politeness than anything. An ingrained trained in behavior of hers. However, notably, though her manner was noble there was a harshness to her voice uncommon of most noble ladies.

“Of course Dr. Novar. I am confident in the ability to make the proper preparations for any such engagement. Whether the intent is for private enjoyment or a more public consumption, I pride myself in facilitating the best possible circumstances to achieve the desired outcome.” She followed along matching the pace precisely to enable easy communication for the noblewoman.

[Dr. Fianna Novar]

"Excellent," she says with that same simply polite smile. Walking them up onto the second floor and along toward one of the rooms nearest the far end of the platform above. Producing a card from her bag and swiping it over the lock screen beside the doors entrance. Stepping to the side she allowed the commander to enter first.

"What other positions have you held in the recent years?" she asks.

[Lassa Tenro]

“My most recent position was on Kamda working as the personal assistant for the governor for much of the past three years.”

[Dr. Fianna Novar]

"That is the most recent, and I am aware of it. Are there others?" she asked, raising a brow in question. Behind her the commander returned from inside the room and stepped off toward the side of the door waiting.

[Lassa Tenro]

"Before that I was finishing my schooling ma'am. I had a short internship on Chandrila working for the Governor of Hanna City, the Lady Tanis Mothma. I helped work on the task force assigned to provide assistance to victims of a bio-weapons attack which took place during the war that had lasting impact on the health of many of the city's citizens."

[Dr. Fianna Novar]

"Interesting," she taps a long finger on her chin. Glancing first and then walking to follow she moves into the room. The commander waiting for Lassa to enter first before she enters behind.

Inside the room it's a smallish space, this one with a table at the center and a more office-like appeal to the place. Sitting in one of the seats Novar reached down into a cabinet and retrieved a bottle of wine from the compartment. Setting that aside the also set out a pair of glasses.

"Do you have any questions for me?"

[Lassa Tenro]

“I assume that given the opportunity I will learn more about you over time as is normal in a working relationship. My primary questions therefore are more directed towards the kinds of projects you would like me to assist on. Preparing your social engagements requires a base knowledge of who exactly you are wishing to engage with. I admit that I know very little of what kind of research you are conducting here on Bellionas; and without treading into classified information... am curious as to your objectives so I can best support you in achieving them.” She replied in a professional tone.

[Dr. Fianna Novar]

"Unfortunately much of my work is classified, as you can expect of a woman of my standing," she smiles, looking over toward the commander whom accompanied them. Raising her right index finger skyward, "However, it does not hurt to speak on some things. I am, as you may know, a biologist by trade. I concern myself with many different facets of life across the galaxy. You'd find it interesting how our different biology's, and those of the natural realm, interact and in some very interesting ways."

"Bellionas itself is a very interesting ground from which to conduct certain experimentation. You see, the swamps here have not been fully investigated but much of the life within them takes on very interesting forms. And not just the swamps but the surrounding regions as well. It's got quite the array of wondrous species, as could only be possible with the starkly different biomes so close together."

[Lassa Tenro]

She nodded, “I see. So the collection of these specimen, I would assume, requires a significant amount of manpower. In theory the more men you have, the greater number of specimens you can catalog.”

[Dr. Fianna Novar]

"In theory," she smiled, looking to the commander. "Lucky I am then to have the Empire backing my curiosities. With the help of men of the garrison here I've had access to most everything I need from the surrounding regions. Which," she looks back to Lassa, "has kept me busy just as I like to be. Though a woman of my position is often expected to become social now and again, which is rather troublesome. I am ultimately kept quite content doing the work I was born to do."

“Then I will strive to ensure your energies are deployed towards your passions as much as is humanly possible for a woman of your prestige and position.”
