[Solork Tan]

Something but not enough

Sol doesn't push things. He accepts what he's learned for now and tries to keep himself open to the Force. He tries simply keep himself open and what happens, happens.

The droid is forgotten for a moment

Solork finds only a peaceful moment of meditation for the time he continues to spend.

Sol opens his eyes. "Well, it's a start. This place is indeed strong with the Force" He sighs. "I just don't know enough to do with what I have yet"

He turns back to the Droid " I still don't have a real answer about how you know so much"

[The SCaT Droid]

"When fighting in a war against Jedi, it becomes a matter of life and death. I just lived long enough to piece together more than 'lightsaber bad, Jedi really fast'. I'm not too sure, but I would compare it to using the same gun for years. Even if one never picked up a tool kit, they could fix their own gun, no?"

[Solork Tan]

"Ranged weaponry has never been my specialty." Sol admits. :But there is logic in the analogy. But it's been over a decade since the Clone Wars, no? For you to have the kind of recall, your memory banks must be..." Sol's visible eye narrows. "I take it that you have not been wiped in some time"

[The SCaT Droid]

"A combination of evading a wipe since the end of the war and a neural recorder. It's amazing how much you can remember with one of them!"

[Solork Tan]

"Well..." Sol looks around. "I think I've gotten all I can here for now. If you have memories of that time... could you share them? My pack wasn't exactly on the front lines. I have few sources of what the Jedi were like, and those I hear from are, let's say " predisposed to look on their actions in the fondest of light"

Sol studies the droid. "A different perspective would be invaluable"

[The SCaT Droid]

"Shall we start with the fact that the Jedi had absolutely no knowledge of the rules of war when they led the clones in the first battle of Geonosis? This led to the destruction of at least 10% of their clone forces in the first battle of the war alone."

[Solork Tan]

"That... actually that seems to track. They considered themselves guardians and protectors. Consulars. Perhaps even warriors sometimes. What you might note is that all of those things don't stop you from being a flaming dung heap as a soldier."

Proth had shared some pointed words in his opinion of how he had been used in that war. "Especially at first. But ... You seemed to know about Redblades too"

[The SCaT Droid]

"I didn't see them up close often, but one thing they all had in common: they let their anger and fear power them. General Grevious regularly ordered acts of terrorism, Asage Ventriss was alway frustrated at the failures of her subordinates, and I don't think we even have to mention what happened with Maul."

[Solork Tan]

Again, that seemed to track.

"What about new ones?" The memory of Arwen was fresh.

[The SCaT Droid]

"Haven't met any yet, they're not hunting droids."

[Solork Tan]

Sol studies the Droid. "So... What do you intend to do with this knowledge you've accumulated? To the Empire? To the Jedi?"

[The SCaT Droid]

"My objective has always been to fight for the rights of CIS citizens, that currently means finding the Jedi and helping them overthrow the empire. "

[Solork Tan]

Sol blinked at that, legitimately surprised at the answer. "That is an interesting choice, seeking out the Jedi to help the CIS. Is there even a CIS left?" Sol catches himself and chuckles. "I suppose they could say the same thing of the Jedi. But the question remains: why the Jedi? You already mentioned that they weren't suited for soldiering"

[The SCaT Droid]

"Yes, they aren't soldiers, but they do the impossible. The Jedi's mistakes may have caused the empire, but by learning from it and correcting it, they will end the Empire and maybe bring peace for once."

[Solork Tan]

Solork really seems to think on the words. "You're not wrong. The Jedi were, at best, blithely ignorant of the conditions that made the Empire. So was I. I like to believe that the mistakes of the past can be learned from, that the Jedi will learned from them, as I have my owm. I will be the example of what I wish the new Jedi to be." The last sentence is spoken with a sureness that might have seemed out of place minutes before.

Sol looks down at the crystal in his hand. "And if that means never using this, I will accept my limitations and find a new path"

The Gank looks back up. "If you stay around here, you will find others. Just... don't surprise them. Some might not hesitate like I did"

[The SCaT Droid]

"It is alright, I have other matters to attend to after this. Just wanted to get a bit of fresh air and stumbled upon this. Let me know if there is anything I could do to help you turn that gem the right color."

[Solork Tan]

"if you find anything out about purification rituals, or Force storage or any other strange spots on the planet like this, I would appreciate knowing"

"I would be happy to help you find that stuff however I can, however apparantly droids can't feel the force for whatever reason."
