So Much Mo- to -Tel (D1 EE Open)

[Lassa Tenro]

Lassa finished putting away her belongings with a sigh of exhaustion as she sat down on the bed. It had been a long day of moving and perusing about the capital city. Her meeting with Agent Divo in the morning had been draining and she was ready to relax and recuperate before starting her work the next day... that’s when the noises next door began.

Lassa tried to drown out what seemed to be an... agreeable situation for the party next door... with her earbuds on high as she listened to some music... but the physical reverberations some sort of object striking another adjacent to her wall made even noise-cancelling technology ineffective.

“This is gonna get old in a hurry...” She moaned to herself as she stood up from the bed and walked out her door.

She traveled down to the lobby... not much to look at in and of itself... and found a seat on a worn-down old couch by some sort of beverage maker. She pulled out her datapad and began searching local news outlets; trying to better orient herself to her surroundings while putting away the annoyance she felt about her new neighbors.

Carden strolled into the Motel a rucksack over his shoulder and a backpack in his hand. The two droids following him inside making inquisitive beeps and boots as they floated around a few paces behind him.

A brief stop at the counter got him checked in, and soon enough he was looking around the lobby trying to see what exactly they had to offer.

The Pantoran girl received a polite nod but he didn't immediately move to greet her.

She looked up from her reading at the beeping and booping. She nodded a slight greeting when he looked her way.

[Carden Willhol]

The young woman seemed a bit too pretty to be staying in a place like this, but then who was he to judge. Carden made his way towards the pantoran, the two droids accompanying him taking the chance to float around the lobby, exploring the small dingy space and satisfying their curiosity, or their owners command it was hard to tell.

"Not much to the lobby is there." The young man asked as much as said as he drew near.

[Lassa Tenro]

She gave the surroundings a quick look-around before nodding, “Yup... but it beats learning the names of the love birds staying in the room beside you.”

She looked at the droids, “These your friends?”

[Carden Willhol]

"Thin walls are such a blessing aren't they." He repleid with a shake of his head. "Look at the brightside though if they are at it this early they aren't likely to keep you up all night with it." A short pause. "Unless someone up there has a whole hell of a lot of stamina."

Carden shook his head and turned to the droids. "But yeah, these are Juri, and Cammie." He beckoned one over. "They help with my work."

[Lassa Tenro]

She smiled softly at the first statement.

Then asked, “What type of work do you do?”

[Carden Willhol]

"I'm a photographer." Carden replied with an easy smile. "Freelance. So I don't particularly focus on one particular subject."

He gestured to the druids. "These two take the pictures for me." His focus shifted back towards Lassa. "You here for work too, or just passing through?"

[Lassa Tenro]

“Work. Just got transferred here. Nothing exciting, though. Just an administrative assistant for some Imperial researcher.”

[Carden Willhol]

"Sounds like you spend a lot of time typing. At least that's what I imagine what adminastrative assitants do... Could be wrong though." Carden replied before jesturing towards the empty spot on the other half of the couch. "Mind if I take a seat?"

[Lassa Tenro]

“Go for it.” She said motioning towards the open seat.

“There’s a great deal of typing and record keeping, yes. Not the most glorious or romantic position, but it pays the bills.”

She paused, “Not nearly as cool as being a photographer. Traveling around looking for good pictures seems rather exciting. What brings you Bellionas? Some secret vista?”

[Carden Willhol]

Carden took at seat at the opposie end of the couch. "Not exciting, but I bet it's a reliable. Did they set you up in this hotel while you fiound a more permanent place to stay?" Or maybe she was just passing through.

"Secret vistas? There certainly are some of those, mostly in place normal people don't want to travel. That kid of thing sells though, glimpses into the dark and dangerous corners of the galaxy. Got a friend here too though, and really it never hurts paying a visit to old accquaintances. Only so much keeping up you can do long distance."

[Lassa Tenro]

She nodded, “The hotel for now. I’ll acquire more permanent accommodations when I am sure that I will be retained for a longer stretch.”

Then nodded again, “You’re a good friend to come all the way out to see this person.”

[Carden Willhol]

"When you're always traveling I don't think there is a really a place that's all the way out here." Carden replied with a chuckle. "You just make it a pit stop on the way to elsewhere and it's not out of the way at all."

"Still thanks." He tipped his head back and looked towards the ceiling. "Though I wonder, do you have many friends you would end up traveling for?"

[Lassa Tenro]

“Not ‘many’ for sure. Not the most loved person I know unfortunately. But... one or two... Maybe for them.” She said with a look on her face as if she searched to remember their faces.

[Carden Willhol]

"Not the most loved huh?" He smirked and shook his head. "You steal someone's boyfriend or something?" He asked his tone a bit teasing.

"Still seems like a few come to mind. So that's something." It was good for people to have a few good friends, or at least people the could count on in a pinch."

[Lassa Tenro]

“Nah... nothing like that. Just tend to be a bit more private than most.” She replied.

“Gotta change that eventually I guess. New place means time for new friends.”

[Carden Willhol]

"Right, things get boring pretty quick without having friends around." Which was fine for some, but a bit boring for people like him.

"At least some people to go see some of the local sights with if nothing else."

[Lassa Tenro]

“‘Life’s not meant to be enjoyed alone’ Or something like that. Never was the best listener during literature class.”

[Carden Willhol]

"In my experience poets and scholars like to say a lot of things...." There were a few moments before he continued.

"That's about all I got from my literature myself, so I can't really comment on your lack of attention."
