[Day 2 LM] I Came Into This Like, Wrecked Ball (Closed, Expecting)

"Ohhhhh... I get it." Manny said, nodding. "So, instead of finding treasure here, you find treasure somewhere else, and bring it here. Yeah, okay." He looked around. "This place could be pretty cool, all fixed up, yeah."

He looked back at her, frowning. "Although... you know, is it just the ship? Because, I mean, I have a ship, if you wanted to hang out there sometime. It smells better than this, too.

“Dang, you got a ship? Is it armed? Armoured? Do you have any weapons of mass destruction?”

“I’m pretty jealous. I guess I just never got into enough grand theft shipto. Really missed an opening there.”

Collecting herself
“But like, your ship isn’t a secret ship though. This is a secret ship. So you trade the nice smells for the secrecy. All secret places smell bad.”

"... it's fast?" Manny offered after a few moments. "It doesn't have any blasters or anything. I asked Jyr if I could mount my pistol on the outside when we flew, because I'm not using it inside, and it's a really nice pistol. But she just sighed and shook her head. I know that look..."

"All secret places smell bad..." Manny considered that. "I guess you're right. I was in a secret base once, and it had that kind of weird base smell, you know?" He looked around. "Still, we can clean it up a bit, right? Make it smell like something different bad?"

"... it's fast?" Manny offered after a few moments. "It doesn't have any blasters or anything. I asked Jyr if I could mount my pistol on the outside when we flew, because I'm not using it inside, and it's a really nice pistol. But she just sighed and shook her head. I know that look..."

Nara shakes her head sadly and pats Manny on the shoulder
"Nobody is perfect I guess. I hope this Jyr will let you ride on the outside some day."

She sniffs the air again and her nose wrinkles
"Oh yeah, definitely clean it up and make it different bad. Maybe mint or something."
Gesturing to one corner
"We can have a game table there, some couches on the left, few screens ahead of them. Gun wracks there, there and there. If we kill a monster we'll have it hanging as a trophy from the ceiling?"

"I mean, I'm the captain." Manny explained. "I can ride on the outside if I want. I think she just thought the pistol thing was a bad idea."

"Yeah, yeah, cool!" He said, looking around. "You really know how to put a place together." He looked at her. "So... why do you want a secret hideout, anyway? Just because it's awesome? Actually, that sounds like a pretty good reason to me."

“Hey! You didn’t say you were a captain. That’s really cool. Why aren’t you wearing a fancy hat though?”
Maybe he was newly promoted and hadn’t been able to purchase one yet?

“Awesomeness is a good... I dunno. 60% of it? But it also has practical value since I’m gonna be breaking the law a lot. Everyone needs a hideout to escape the law. Currently it’s a lot of laaame civil disobedience but it’ll kick off eventually.”

Manny shrugged. "None of them really go with my exploring gear. But I've got a grey one that you can put on different parts of your head, and then a sparkly one. It just sparkles."

"Oh." He considered a moment. "Good crime or bad crime? I'm trying to to more of the first one and less of the second one."

"I mean...mainly thinking about shooting mooks with no names or visible faces. Pretty sure those are good crimes under any legal systems. You just blast 'em once and never think about it again, it's the best crime."
