A Dark Calling [D1 EA]

"Personal experience, then." She said, with a half-nod. "And there have been many wars, of course. I can't say I'm an expert on them. Well, perhaps the last one. But regardless, the hand of the Sith is always there. And the Jedi always stand against them. Except when they fail to see it coming. And because of that, now here we are. Living in misery until someone resets the board again so they can go for another round."

[Deonis Harik]

Deonis nodded "Yes. But how do you stop it? Light will always oppose dark."

[Tyllia Demici]

"I don't have all the answers, but you can start by erasing the old opposing philosophies favoring only one over the other," she said.

[Deonis Harik]

"I am confused. You seek to break a cycle but don't know how. But you think killing someone will help?" Deonis spoke slowly trying to process the information she was giving him

[Tyllia Demici]

She frowned a little. "Got to clear the board and players first before any solution to the real problems can be implemented anyway."

[Deonis Harik]

The large armored man was silent for a bit but nodded "I dont fully understand. Think I got most of it though." The deep voice rumbled out.

"Well if you're looking to kill Sith I'm in. If you're looking to kill jedi you're on your own." He wasn't one hundred percent sure how many players she was planning on clearing.

[Tyllia Demici]

"So," she said, rolling her shoulders. "That mean you were trained by a Jedi and got sentimental attachments to them? Or you were trained by a Sith, and you didn't like the way they went about it and now you want revenge?"

[Deonis Harik]

"The latter." He said nodding "Sith stole me from my family and trained me when I was just a small child. Made me into a weapon. Used me." He growled about the small chunks of his past he was divulging

[Tyllia Demici]

"Well, I suppose we share something in common then. Though it's not exactly a one to one match. There was no stealing involved, for one. And Sith... well, I don't know about that either. Hard to know if someone has actual claim to that name. But that makes me want to feel like asking again. Who was it that trained you?"

[Deonis Harik]

"Different people I didn't have one master. I was trained by the Inquistors. Mostly Vader, sometimes others." He said plainly as if remarking about the weather. "You know who trained me, who trained you?"

[Tyllia Demici]

"Vader, I know him," she said, and for the first time there was real venom in her voice. "Him, I would very much like to kill."

She started pacing a little, before finding a half-collapsed tree to lean against, and then was quiet for a long time.

"I was young, I don't remember all of the details. My family is... well, I don't suppose that's relevant right now. It was discovered I had a talent with the Force, and so I was to be trained. This was before there were things like inquisitors, during the war. Like I said, I was very young. I was taken in by a group known as the Dark Acolytes. Trained to become the apprentice of their leader, a Sith lord most of the galaxy knew as Count Dooku. The war ended. Things happened. I kept learning on my own. Now here I am."

[Deonis Harik]

"Dooku is dead. Killed by the Jedi Master Anakin during the war." Deonis wasn't the most knowledgeable but he had been taught somethings about the war. And other Sith lords. "He was Sith, never heard of Dark Acolytes though."

[Tyllia Demici]

"Yes, I'm aware he's dead." She resisted the vague urge to add a sarcastic 'thank you' at the end of that sentence. "His personal army of force sensitives. Like your inquisitors, I guess. Or maybe more like the Jedi. Like I said, I don't remember all the details, and it doesn't really matter now. They're probably all dead too."

[Deonis Harik]

"Not my inquisitors." He said sharply before a breath was heard "but I understand. So us both wronged by the Sith, raised in the dark since we were children and both here on Bellionas at the same time, same place. doesn't sound like destiny to you?" He felt drawn to the girl as if their shared ordeal with the swamp bonded them somehow.

"I admit it's a big coincidence. But destiny is a dangerous thing to believe in. As soon as you've decided something's part of your destiny, you close yourself off from seeing the parts of the picture that don't fit into that perception. And that's how you end up dead. Not seeing your real destiny sneaking up from behind you."

There was a small pause, her mind switching to another track again.

"So, what now?"

[Deonis Harik]

Deonis shrugged "We didn't get anything to go on." he said looking around "I suppose wait for now. See what happens. Are you planning on helping with the resistance while you are here?"

[Tyllia Demici]

She nodded. "They're a bunch of naive, idealistic fools. But that doesn't mean they don't have the potential to become something more."

[Deonis Harik]

Deonis nodded as well "stronger words than I would use. Not wrong though. Mara believes in the cause, she'll be a good leader to the people here. She'll need to get a stomach for violence."

[Tyllia Demici]

She nodded by way of response. "They're not ready for that yet. Wouldn't make sense either, strategically. It's too soon. The CIS didn't just start taking on the Republic out of the blue. They'll need time to build up networks, recruits or droids, and so on."

[Deonis Harik]

"Yes the boring parts." He said with an uninterested tone "not built for these parts of wars. Waiting and talking. Built to fight, don't know how to do much else."
