Work Begins [D2, Early Evening]

[Raven Cadera]

"Crushing an empire could take a long time. Who knows, most of us here might die in glorious batle." She at least didn't believe in putting life on hold because of the Empire, or other things she was honorbound to do. Things just needed to happen together in times like these.

This is the way.

"... Do you think the plans they got for this place will work? Fighting with ideals and such...?"

[Deonis Harik]

"It won't be my sole focus." He said before looking around at those around them work in their various tasks. "It can. Probably won't. Ideals help, the support of the people helps but Empire will kill to hold onto power. In the end only violence will break their hold on the galaxy. Things like this maybe make less violence necesarry."

[Raven Cadera]

"Some Mandalorians thought pacifism was the solution to a lot of problems. Turned out, it wasn't the case," she sighed, shook her head, and looked around for the next heavy load to move.

"I hope you're right though. You and me, people like us, we're warriors - we know battle, we willingly go into it with the risks it carries. Everyone else though... not so much. Most are not ready for it, or have too much to lose."

[Deonis Harik]

A sort of questioning grunt came from the helmet "pacifist Mandalorians. hadn't heard that one before." Then he shrugged "big galaxy though." He said, dismissing his own ignorance.

At the rest He nodded "Indeed. Galaxy needs them. To provide hope. Without some hope we are lost to darkness. Still needs us to do what needs to be done."

"Such is our lot in life," she remarked with some dry humor, not seeming to mind that she could put her few good skills to use somehow.

"Well, after today, hopefully things will be moving more. Right now we're just getting started here, eh?"

[Deonis Harik]

a short chuckle "I wouldn't have it any other way." he said with a shade of happiness to his words.

"That is the point of today, kick things off. Getting it off the ground. The ground work is set. I feel things are going to go quickly after today. Relativelyt speaking." he nodded to her remarks

"As you've been here on Bellionas longer, have you had much experience with Mara Kayde and her friends?" Seeing what seemed like an unstable stairway, Raven thought better about trying to clear that one. Best leave it be.

[Deonis Harik]

Deonis nodded "Done jobs for them here and there. Mostly deliveries, carrying things, stuff like that. Good people. Mara's an idealist, young but good leader. Cares. Believes in the cause. Sera. Protective, good quality for security head. Doesn't like me much." his voice sounded amused "Don't know as much about the others."

"I see..." a nod then she looked Deonis over. "Why doesn't Sera like you? Something I should know about...?"

[Deonis Harik]

Deonis shrugged "didn't build the best reputation. Criminal work when I first arrived. Needed money. Only a few skills. Sera didn't trust me. Haven't done that work in awhile."

[Raven Cadera]

"Ah. Bounty hunting is a complicated profession and all that?" she asked with a wry tone. At least in her experience, bounty hunting was the natural thing to fall back on for a lot of warriors.

[Deonis Harik]

He nodded "for a time less bounty hunting more enforcing. Petty work, little honor in it." He shrugged "I do what I must to survive. That was a long time ago though."

In silence for a few moments, Raven seemed to be considering his words, mulling it over in her head as she moved away some rubble with ease.

"... If you don't mind my asking, what do you consider 'honorable'?" she asked with genuine curiousity. Perhaps seeking to understand more of how he saw it, or how honor was for those not Mandalorians.

Now Deonis lapsed in a thinking silence as he assisted shifting and moving the rubble "There can be honor in combat, in fighting a worthy opponent, in over coming adversity. More of a feeling than a definition. For me." He spoke slowly as if working out the definition for himself as he told her.

She grunted in agreement as they cleared a section together.

"That's the clear-cut version of it," she chuckled briefly. "If only it was always that easy with honor. That we only fought worthy opponents and such."

[Deonis Harik]

Deonis shrugged "hard to tell if an opponent is worthy before the fight. But little honor in breaking legs for bookies or shaking down drug addicts. Left a bad taste."

[Raven Cadera]

"Heh, yeah, got that right. Never got myself involved in that... or, well, I've done my share of beating up rivals and other gangsters, but if those low-lives are going to try to kill eachother... well, the armor-and-ammunition-fund needs credits." Raven shrugged with some good humor and dusted off her hands.

Deonis snorted "true enough. Wouldn't mind living somewhere with more than one room too. Not a fancy person but am a big guy. Feet currently hang off my bed." He said chuckling "could sell the sword, but it's been a good weapon."

"Maybe you can sleep on the floor here?" she said in an amused tone. "Gonna be space here for some folks now, after all."

[Deonis Harik]

He thought for a moment "perhaps if others weren't here as well. I enjoy my privacy." He replied in what passed as a good natured tone for him.
