Korvin was seated in a smallish eatery on Restaurant Alley, taking advantage of one of the best deals to be had on food, maybe in the whole city. Sure, it was just a bubbly drink, rolled sandwich, and some mass-produced galactic chips, but every credit he wasn't spending on small symbols of independence like eating out was a credit that was available to maintain Ruby in the lifestyle to which he wanted his beloved speeder bike accustomed. And, truth be told, he had occasionally eaten at the fancy restaurants uptown. The food on Restaurant Alley was much more enjoyable in his estimation, even the cheap stuff.

The Pantoran picked up his drink and looked, somewhat meditatively, out the window of the restaurant as he took a sip.

Korvin's eyes get large with surprise, but he's fortunate he'd only taken a sip of the drink and it all remains inside his mouth. As he's making sure to not choke, his head nods forward and backward several times and he turns from the window toward the table. He puts the drink down somewhat roughly, blinks a couple of times, and with one large, final gulp, he seems to compose himself.

With a deep breath and a couple shakes of his head, Korvin starts to feel like he's back in order -- and then his eyes flick up, unblinking at the blue woman. Whether she sought confirmation to sit with a smile, a small wave -- later he wouldn't even remember this part of the interaction -- Korvin reflexively waved for her to go ahead, his manners too polite to do anything else.

Dodging past the waiter Nara rushes the restaurant and plonks herself down opposite Korvin. She spends a couple seconds looking for somewhere to dramatically put her feet up before having to settle with getting half of one boot on the window sill

“Hey there! Didn’t mean to intrude... well, I wasn’t planning on intruding anyway. But then I had lunch with another blue yesterday just down the alley and I thought to myself ‘I don’t believe in coincidences, this has to be part of the conspiracy!’ So here I am.”

Looking him up at down
“You don’t look super conspiratorial but maybe that’s why you’re good at it. And I definitely feel like I’ve seen you around before... were you following me? Maybe as part of some overt elaborate web of plots?”

Korvin blinks twice, slowly, otherwise expressionless as he tries to process all that's coming at him.

"Um," he says inarticulately. "I don't think I've been following anyone lately," he begins, trying to respond to her questions thoughtfully. "And what conspiracy do you think I might be a part of?"

“Criminal, extra galactic, extra dimensional, political. A criminal extra galactic extra dimensional political conspiracy would be sweet actually.”
And nobody would be looking out for one... it was perfect
“Then you got the lame ones where you repair industrial equipment for a couple hours a day. But I guess you gotta get in on the ground level you know?”

Without waiting for answer she flags down a waiter and orders what Korvin was having but with red sauce.

Korvin raises an eyebrow at the industrial repair comment. "Has anyone ever called you a security risk there, uh, Miss Blue?" He asks the question fairly gently, but it's clear he's worried about the Chiss woman.

She raises an eyebrow before realisation dawns
“Oh Stars! That’s where I know you from, you’re from the super boring thing. I knew you were part of a conspiracy. Got a nose for that stuff.”

"You... I..." Korvin closes his eyes to take a deep breath. His eyes remain closed while he takes a long drink of the bubbly beverage.

“Other Chiss? Nah. They’re mostly restrained and considered. By which I mean boring. It’s always ‘let’s weigh our options’ and ‘that will cause an explosion killing us all’ just blah blah blah, you know?”

After the Pantoran mentioned speeder bikes Nara had turned and started peering out the window
“Speeder bike racing isn’t boring though. In fact that’s almost the definition of not boring. Well, unless you race within the legal speed limit like some kinda crazy person.”

Remembering her discussion with Dhelih, Nara looked him over for drugs

"Have you ever jumped your speeder bike off another speeder bike? Have you ever ridden it out of an explosion? Have you ever used it to rescue a kid on a smaller speeder bike from a gank in a truck?"

Korvin looks at Nara stonily.

"Um. I've used Ruby to drive opponents into dead-end alleys and oncoming traffic. No explosions that I recall, though." The young man is clearly not sure whether he should be trying to meet the woman's high expectations or questioning where she developed them.

Nara puts her hands on her hips
“Is she at least red? Oh, oh. Is she called Ruby because of a girl you used to know but she passed and now you race to remember her?”

"No, she's Ruby because she's shiny and red and beautiful and of course I named my bike. What kind of monster doesn't name their speeder bike?"

“I didn’t name my gun... but now I kinda think I should.”
Nara just casually slaps her rifle down next to their plates.
“I could call it sapphire... but that might be derivative.”

"I mean, guns and bikes are different..." He just leaves the thought there, not being the sort to argue with someone who puts a gun on the table in the middle of lunch. He crunches a pair of chips while watching Nara carefully.

"Ice or Frost would kind of get you the 'shiny and blue's sort of theme, but coming from another direction," he suggests, taking another chip and continuing to watch her closely.

"I mean, guns and bikes are different..." He just leaves the thought there, not being the sort to argue with someone who puts a gun on the table in the middle of lunch. He crunches a pair of chips while watching Nara carefully.

"Ice or Frost would kind of get you the 'shiny and blue's sort of theme, but coming from another direction," he suggests, taking another chip and continuing to watch her closely.

“Maybe”
Nara dabs some sauce off the barrel
“But it’s a bit ‘teen girl’ you know? Maybe this is why I never named it. You want something that’s cool but like, effortlessly cool. Trying to be cool isn’t cool, after all.”

After the dabbing she notices the scope is slightly out and so starts fiddling around with it
“Maybe I could go with the air of mystery? Call it ‘Wayward’ or ‘Trevor’ and let people’s imaginations do the work. Can I have some chips by the way?”
She immediately reaches over and grabs some chips
