Too close for comfort [D2 MM, Open]

"I wish I knew," she said to Richo as she glanced to match eyes with Zim. Offering the younger woman a smile, glancing then toward one of the seats near her and Richo which was as well unclaimed. "But far as we have seen they are people," she looks down, grimacing, "but more beast than man. How they have gotten that way we have no idea. Perhaps they are just souls filled with violence?" she posits as a wonder but shakes her head.

"They are vicious and often strike out against stragglers moving among the ruins, and even more so in the areas they have claimed as their own. Barricades put up both by us and them mark off the portions of the lower city they claim as their own," she sighs, looking out over the faces of the people here. "We do what we can to remain apart, to remain safe."

Zim moves closer, nodding with a weak, but friendly smile to the woman, then to Richo, and finally sitting down at the seat she had pointed at with her eyes. She hears her words silently and attentively, nodding at times, and keeps thoughtful for now.

They were people... but more beast than man. Apparently for no clear reason.

She wondered where they came from, what made them what they were today - what made them a danger to others... and to themselves, surely.

Perhaps she could do something to help these people. But... was that the most serious problem they were dealing with?, she wondered.

For now, though, she let Richo ask his own questions.

Something stood out to her about the woman. Enough to make her stop her aimless wandering and take note. She had no particular interest in striking up a conversation right away, so instead she just observed the woman a while longer; taking note of the comings and goings and maybe listening in.

J-Richo raised his helm to take notice of the two women who seemed to have joined the conversation.

I was wondering why things felt more crowded

He gave a nod to them both before resuming his questions

''When did they begin to appear? Is there no rumor or speculation as to their origin?'' he paused ''Was one never captured?'' he paused as to not overwhelm the woman...too much

Tyllia as well got a brief glance from the Pantoran woman, though she didn't force her to approach by any means. Returning her attentions once more to Richo she let the moment settle a little and gave him a light smile, "Near as long as the rest of us have been moved down here. Last one came through seemed interested in them for one reason or another, man of science I think- or just an investigator," she gave a light shrug.

"I'm afraid for your other question though dear you're looking at a community just trying to get by. We do what we can to protect our homes down here but capturing bandits isn't something we're capable of."

Well, since apparently several people had noticed her lingering nearby, she decided to approach just for appearance's sake. Who knew, she might even learn something useful; though she doubted it.

"This man of science have a name you remember?" She asked, injecting herself into the conversation.

"He didn't share, not in the time that we spoke. A Chiss, rare as those individuals are out here, but he seemed a good enough sort. Mind more for his pursuits perhaps," she shrugged and offered a slight smile.

Zimrzala kept quiet, paying attention to the woman's words as she answered the others, acknowledging Tyllia into the circle

After the last question, she gave the woman a nod of understanding, then looked at the older Pantoran to respectfully call her attention to a question of her own.

If and when the woman turns her attention to Zim, she'll ask in a soft tone.

"I... imagine these Gonks are a large part of your troubles here at the Lower City these days. But... before I ask anything else, I'd like to know. Is there anything else that might help you, aside from that?"

She stops for a moment, then adds in a lower voice as she draws back the robe's hood, clearly exposing her tendrils "Well... and I suppose finding a place for our folk in Bellionas above the ground..."

"A Chiss?" she stated more than asked. "Blue. Red eyes, right? Met one a few days ago. Not male, though."

The mando let the two other take on the conversation...he there where answers here he did not know the right questions to ask.

"I... imagine these Gonks are a large part of your troubles here at the Lower City these days. But... before I ask anything else, I'd like to know. Is there anything else that might help you, aside from that?"

She stops for a moment, then adds in a lower voice as she draws back the robe's hood, clearly exposing her tendrils "Well... and I suppose finding a place for our folk in Bellionas above the ground..."

"We have no greater hopes that we'll find ourselves welcomed back atop with open arms any time soon. For now," she looks between those gathered but returns to Zim with her gaze as a warm smile creeps up. "There is much that could be done to help the people down here. In truth, there is more that could be done than there couldn't be. We have little down here. Though.. a greater supply of medicine, or more shelter from the conditions here would be on the top of our list."

She looked to Tyllia following, and simply nodded to her question in turn.

For now," she looks between those gathered but returns to Zim with her gaze as a warm smile creeps up. "There is much that could be done to help the people down here. In truth, there is more that could be done than there couldn't be. We have little down here. Though.. a greater supply of medicine, or more shelter from the conditions here would be on the top of our list."

Zim nods to her with a warm smile of her own. "I am no healer myself, Nanna... but finding supplies, or someone who might be able to help, that I can try to do. As for shelter..." she looks around, her brow furrowing in thought. "Do you mean somewhere else where you could go? Or... supplies and manpower to repair, or build something more... permanent and comfortable?"

The older woman smiled at the mention of 'nanna' but didn't pause to comment on it. "That's what people need most.. but yes, whatever you or your friends could spare to offer the people down here a little bit easier of a time would be welcomed. I do not imagine there will be much just a handful or one person can do alone but every little bit helps, hmm?"

The older woman smiled at the mention of 'nanna' but didn't pause to comment on it. "That's what people need most.. but yes, whatever you or your friends could spare to offer the people down here a little bit easier of a time would be welcomed. I do not imagine there will be much just a handful or one person can do alone but every little bit helps, hmm?"

She nods at the woman with a warm smile. "I'll be happy to help with what I can. And... if there's something more specific you need help with... do you have a comlink or other way to reach me when I'm not here? Otherwise... well, I'll be back from time to time to do what I can."

"No but.. I am certain if there is a great enough need there is always another way," she said with a brief smile. "Thank you," she finishes with a nod.
