Some things keep growing (D1, EA, Garden Park)

Korvin smiles at the affirmation and her confidence.

"I interrupted you going somewhere. If you can wait a bit while I finish my planting, I'd be happy to give you a ride where you're gong on my bike, Ruby," he says with a pleasant smile.

[Lassa Tenro]

She shook her head, “I’m good with walking. I’m sure ‘Ruby’ is agreeable, but getting on speederbikes with young men I just met because they are planting some bushes isn’t normally how a woman who values her safety conducts herself. No offense of course.”

[Korvin Hikarrin]

Korvin gives a big laugh. "I suppose that's true," he concedes. "But if you decide you need a respectable man with a speeder bike, Korvin Hikarrin is here to help. Gardening takes a very small part of my time," he says jokingly.

[Lassa Tenro]

“I’m assuming ‘Ruby’ takes up a bit of your remaining time?” She asked.

[Korvin Hikarrin]

"Well, I have to spend a fair amount of time keeping her in good shape for racing, plus there are races themselves... It adds up," he agrees with a smile. "But no point in having a speeder bike if you're not getting good use out of it, right?"

[Lassa Tenro]

“No point at all.” She said with a nod.

“Racing a big thing then? Here on Bellionas.”

[Korvin Hikarrin]

He chuckles. "Well, yes and no. It's not exactly allowed, so it's not as big as it could be, but even with that I'd say a lot of people participate. Not just racers, but all the hangers on, and the gamblers. I mean, if there's a way to make quick money, people are going to want to get in on it, right? So that's... not necessarily great, but it isn't the roughest crowd either," he sounds fairly upbeat, perhaps giving the scene a little extra shine for his own pride.

“Perhaps I’ll have to catch a race sometime. Though I wouldn’t say ‘rough’ crowds are necessarily my forte.”

Korvin makes a face that's both smiling but hesitant -- probably a very genuine reflection of his feelings.

"Well, you go with a friend, and that'll be a good start. Especially a male friend, because unfortunately..." He closes his eyes and shakes his head. "Sometimes the rougher types say things to women that they shouldn't. And they're a little better if it looks like someone might punch them in the face."

He looks at Lassa seriously. "Honestly, you're really pretty, so you should bring a group of friends if you're going to see the races. And you'll totally have fun if you do!" he emphasized. "Just... a lot more fun with friends."

“Then I’ll need to get me some friends to protect this pretty face.” She said with a smile.

“You got any friends in that bag on your bike?”

[Korvin Hikarrin]

Korvin laughs.

"I don't think any of my friends would be ok being kept in a bag," he says with a smile. "But I probably know enough good people. Like, just as friends. I'm not... Like that wasn't a line or anything," he says, suddenly concerned he might have sounded like one of the people he was trying to warn her about.

[Lassa Tenro]

She smiled and shook her head gently, “Don’t worry young man. You seem like the upstanding respectable type. You’re a handsome young boy in your own right. I didn’t perceive any less than savory intent behind your words. Still doesn’t mean I can’t tease a young man such as yourself for your youthful exuberance.”

Her smile turned a bit more wry upon saying those last words.

Her smile softened again, “I don’t tend to have all than many close friends is all. Been too transient recently... and I tend to be a bit shy at times. But if you got a group of people you trust and need a boring Pantoran secretary to accompany them while you’re off racing... You can send me a message. I’ll be staying at the Rebyk Hotel for the next month or so while I get situated.”

Korvin makes a face at the boy comment and tosses his head a couple of times as he's shaking it off.

"Well, if you're interested in babysitting my friends..." He snickers and gives her a smirk. "Then you're clearly not very boring. And the folks around racers can certainly be exciting too, gamblers and those types. But yes, I'll keep you in mind as races come up. No official schedule, of course, since racing isn't officially... official." He decides to leave the status at that.

She put her hand to her lips in feigned surprise, “The horror. You’ll make your mother cry.”

She smiled as she picked up her handles to her bags in preparation to leave, “If you need a babysitter do let me know. Old hags like me have very few uses other than yelling at the youngins’ for not behavin’ right.”

[Korvin Hikarrin]

Korvin laughs again, with no hesitation. He stands and stretches, getting ready to go back to his project.

"Getting you a chance to yell at young people, and maybe ride a speeder bike with someone respectful of your advanced years. I've got my homework," he chuckles, and gives Lassa a wink.

[Lassa Tenro]

She smiled and pointed to his face, “Looks like you got something stuck in your eye there.”

She then began walking back towards the path, “Keep up the good work. See you when you’re ready to turn in your assignments.”

And with that she continued on and out of the park...

Korvin hesitated a second, then got the joke and chuckled again, turning back to his... plants of whatever type they were. He chuckled about the quirky Pantoran woman several times as he finished his project.
