“Just need to find the right toady I suppose. Parasol’s are easy enough to come by.”

[Qar Offee]

"Would there be any problem with that, with you possessing both gravitas and charm?"

[Lassa Tenro]

“I suppose I could end up quite despotic with too much of either. Perhaps it’s best if I be the toady for now.”

[Qar Offee]

"Underdog stratagem?" He chuckled, helping himself finally to the bellidoughnut.

[Lassa Tenro]

“Stratagem? It could be I suppose.” She said with a tilted brow.

[Qar Offee]

"Even if it weren't a joke, would you blame me for entertaining the thought you're some clever mastermind deeply undercover?" A chuckle and a slushie sip. "After all, you haven't even told me your name."

He sighed and leaned back on the chair. "Though I am fine with you staying mysterious if that's your style."

[Lassa Tenro]

“If I were deeply undercover then any name I would give you would most certainly be a lie.” She said with a smirk.

“So would you like me to lie to you?”

[Qar Offee]

"Not really. But I am not obsessed with the truth either, as long as the story is well-meant."

[Lassa Tenro]

“The name is Lassa.” She replied in a soft tone.

“Lassa Tenro.”

[Qar Offee]

He nodded, having given the name some consideration. "It's a nice name, and it suits you. Makes a nickname unnecessary. Well met, Lassa." He then licked his fingers from the doughnut.

"So we've shared names now, Lassa, and some jokes. Guess that makes the meeting a successful one. I need to go soon though, so looking for future opportunities to share more, like our stamp collections or stories about drinking nights. Which reminds me." It was getting dark and cold quickly. "Need a lift somewhere?" He glanced toward the bike.

[Lassa Tenro]

She shook her head, “I’m good. I wait for rides until after stamps.”

She smiled, “But most definitely a fine first meeting worked through the entirety of the itemized checklist.”

[Qar Offee]

"I am glad to have complied with the necessary bookkeeping." He laughed and rose. Seeing no service, he decided to take the tray and drop it back at the rack for the dirty ones. "See you around, Lassa. May red tape never slip from your hands."
