Good mourning, Rebyk Motel [D2, EM, open]

"Good, and if you could please come quietly and without fuss when I come to take you in, I'd appreciate it."

It was an obvious joke, of course. And she took another bite from her breakfast.

[Jaxom Ursae]

"Of course." he nodded. "But, I'd like it to look good. Maybe just a minor scuffle?"

[Tyllia Demici]

"Sure, I could make it look convincing and give you a black eye. Make it seem like you really fought back and didn't just come quietly."

[Jaxom Ursae]

He winced a bit at the thought of the black eye, but nodded. "Yeah, that'd be good."

He finished his caf and looked around at the remaining pastries. "I guess I'll buy less next time."

[Tyllia Demici]

"People don't expect free breakfast, so they don't tend to come looking for it. Perhaps if you put a sign outside. But then you will probably have to buy a *lot* more. And you'll have to do it for the rest of your days, of course. People'd get upset, otherwise."

[Jaxom Ursae]

"Yeah, I don't plan to do that." he chuckled. "Maybe I'll buy people dinner one of these days, though. Couldn't hurt to meet more of those visiting Bellionas."

[Tyllia Demici]

"A matter of pride in your homeworld?" She asked. "As I recall from reading up on it, Bellionas was on the CIS side in the war, right? Some would say that pride is what caused all of that to start in the first place. But I don't really know."

The signs of a Serenno accent could still be detected in her voice; which if accurate, would of course mean her own homeworld was *very much* on that same side during the war.

[Jaxom Ursae]

"We built CIS ships." he nodded. "And, tried to hide it from the Republic. We weren't successful in that."

[Tyllia Demici]

"Building capital ships does seem like it'd be difficult to hide. But then again, I have no idea what the empire is using your shipyards for right now. For all I know they're building a hundred capital ships up there right now."

[Jaxom Ursae]

"My understanding is that it was the numbers that gave it away, not that I understood the numbers." he shrugged. "But, I imagine the Empire's building whatever they want up there."

[Tyllia Demici]

"I suppose they have nobody to hide their numbers from, in any case. No inspection teams coming along. Except the kind that might result in executions because their behind schedule on some ill-conceived weapon they can trot out for the imperial propaganda holo's. Like, hell. A Doom Quasar, or something."

[Jaxom Ursae]

"Now I really want to know what they're working on up there. Doom Quasar...."

[Tyllia Demici]

"Don't suppose you worked there before, and know your way around? It seems like the sort of place that might be impossible to break into."

[Jaxom Ursae]

"Pretty impossible, yeah." he nodded. "Strict security, even in the old days. I always wanted to ride the space elevator, but was never allowed."

[Tyllia Demici]

"You'd have to be a real fan of elevator-jeez to inflict that long of an elevator ride on yourself."

By elevator-jeez, she was of course referring to the kind of jizz music that was such a generic rip-off that nobody would ever dare call it actual jizz. The one good thing about the empire was that it was in the task of eradicating the jeez scourge plaguing elevators across the galaxy, and replacing it with jizz everywhere. But of course, they were totally behind schedule.

[Jaxom Ursae]

"Leading cause of elevator deaths." he shook his head. "I'm not a fan, but I think I could endure it to experience the ride. And, to see the foundry."

[Tyllia Demici]

"But, this is all talk." She said with a shrug. "Us ordinary folk don't get to do the fun stuff."

[Jaxom Ursae]

"Do ordinary folk have conversations like ours?" he laughed. "I wouldn't be surprised if we did a few surprising things in the weeks to come."

[Tyllia Demici]

"Maybe, maybe not. There are many ordinary folks, who talk about many things. I am sure space-elevators come up in at least some of those conversations."
