Reprise before Repisal (D2 ME The Cave)

"But... that just comes down to their programming no? All droids just follow the programming they've recieved." Maybe some people liked to program their droids in weird fashions, like making them into gamblers and performers?

[The SCaT Droid]

"We aren't computers. We were built with some programming that let's us adapt to real life situations. This allows us to come up with behavior that isn't expected by the programmer. This is why it is common practice to wipe droids at regular intervals, to avoid a droid that truly has free will."

[Raven Cadera]

Free will or just buggy and malfunctioning.

Raven drained the last contents of her glass. "That's a novel idea," she dryly remarked.

[The SCaT Droid]

Noticing the snark, Scat responds with a little chipper sarcasm of its own.
"I know, its almost as novel as forcing the hutts to pay their moisture farmers on Tatooine!"

[Raven Cadera]

Raven raised an eyebrow at the droid then shrugged. "I suggest you be careful with that... and your gambling. Some people might think you're a droid too big for their bolts, and there are people who find it more sporting than I do to vent their frustration at an old relic from the Clone Wars."

"Anyway, I didn't want to disrupt the lady's working hours."

[The SCaT Droid]

"Will do, going to my scheduled mind wipe now. Have a good day ladies." And with that, SCaT drops the credits Dhel threw on stage for it and leaves the building.

[Dhelih Dotaivi]

Dhel blinks at the exchange and the coins. "Well, that was odd. I had no idea droids got tetchy about that kind of thing. I admit, I haven't really talked to that many of them before. The tour guide ones at the museum are not very chatty outside of their tour information."

[Raven Cadera]

Raven gave a shrug, seeming like she was equally perplexed. "Never really had much to do with droids before myself. Occassional target-practice, sometimes annoying customs at starports. I admit it's the first time I've seen one that gambles, sings, and talks like that."

[Dhelih Dotaivi]

"I've seen one or two gamble, mostly not local droids, but I've never seen one sing. But I have to guess you've travelled a bit more to have seen stuff like that, yeah?" Dhel glances at the door the droid left through. "Pretty rare then."

[Raven Cadera]

"I've seen some weird stuff, but not that. It's a big galaxy, after all - I don't think any person could see even a fraction of it all in their lifetime, even if they tried." She chuckled a little bit at that. "You native here to Bellionas? Or from some other corner of the galaxy?"

[Dhelih Dotaivi]

"Born here, only barely, and recently, been anywhere else. So I've only seen a very small bit of the galaxy." She grins, "Obviously, you're new here. What part of the galaxy are you from originally?"

[Raven Cadera]

It sounded like a nice thing to still be home, at least to Raven.

"I'm from a world called Concord Dawn. It's mostly a farming-world, in the Mandalore sector. Lots of jungle, plains, and forests." And in her opinion, one of the worlds that had best preserved a lot of the daily life culture of the Mandalorian people. Until recently.

"So yeah, before you ask, I did grow up learning how to grow food and such. It's the custom for families to be self-sufficient in most regards."
