Another Day, Another Few Credits in the Till (D3 ME, The Cave)

"You know I'm always up for a fight," she gave him a more confident smirk, as if to attempt to dispel his concern. Though she was pretty weary and tired too after some stressful days.

"If Tux and the boys were here... they'd probably be up for it too."

[Phroth Lissken]

"I know." He replied, grinning to her, the light catching all those teeth. "But like I said, this feels different. I... I have to learn more, to make sure we don't go in blind." Phroth's concern and determination showed through his words, pondering.

"This seems like it might need more than just our usual kill it faster than it can kill us plan."

"She's probably going to want to kill me for suggesting this, but maybe talk to Jyr? She might have some clever insight that us two brutes aren't considering." Raven at least didn't mind relying on the Brain's suggestions when they were directed at how to more efficiently win.

"And we get so few stormtrooper patrols down here. That certainly makes this a much nicer place."

Imperials out of uniform were another thing entirely, but she didn't expect them in the Cave very often, what with it's non-human friendliness.

"Less Imperials certainly doesn't hurt." He said, his voice sounded amused "standing out less in general."

"I'll talk to her. She can't still be mad about the crab, yeah? A little near getting eaten experience is good for the soul." He chuckled, the infrasonic to it more sinister than anything.

"Might be an all hands kind of situation."

Raven chuckled as well, bringing the glass up to her lips for a refreshing sip. She'd have to ask this place sometime about what they put in it, since it was quickly becoming some of her favorite beverages here on Bellionas, as it slaked the thirst in the warm weather but also still kept her alert.

"Well, a year spent with us, she has chilled out a little. But you bet she'll bring it up still as if she was about to die back then. Which she wasn't going to of course."

"Less Imperials certainly doesn't hurt." He said, his voice sounded amused "standing out less in general."

That got a smile out of the Mirialan.

"Of course there might be some in this very room . . . but I doubt it."

"probably not looking to start trouble though." His voice suggested he might wish they did

"I think they're well aware of what that would bring down here. Aaaaaaand as much as it would be a lovely sight, it would bring down the wrong kind of attention on The Cave."

She emptied her glass and waved it at the bar person.

"Wouldn't want Honey up there deprived of her best earner. Or mine."

He nodded "mhm. Might feel good but better to wait till the right time." The metal tube slipped under his helmet once again for a drink.

She nodded.

"I'll drink to that."

He raised his glass to clink with hers. His expression was still hidden but his body language and maybe just a general feeling around him might lead her to believe he was smiling under that visor.

Sitting back in his chair a little he looked around the club and back to Shoula "You like what you do?"

"I do what I do to survive. I don't have to like it."

She ran a finger over the top of her glass.

"Never get too comfortable with any one thing. Things don't last these days."

Deonis nodded "respect that. Ever want to do more than survive though?" His tone was contemplative as the black visor regarded Shoula.

"If I'd done that, One Liner, then I wouldn't be here."

She grinned, staring straight back at his visor.

An amused snort "One Liner." A small chuckle "fair enough, though doing what you have to and doing what you want to aren't always the same. All I was getting at." He knew for sure he would live his life differently if he could.

"She was as far from death as she would have been sitting at a terminal." The chuckle turned to a full laugh, yet still trying to stay below the volume of the singer.

"But it's good she's stuck around with you all. I'm glad to hear that, Raven. To know my friends are still together."

Likewise, her own laugh was quiet so as to not interrupt the music.

"I think it's been good for her, living with a group of warriors who won't hesitate at all to take down anyone who might come for her. And, well, good for many of us too to have her around... don't worry, we'll make her into a warrior yet," Raven said with a grin, her words mostly joking but still leaving the door open enough to not rule out the possibility.

The shark she was doing her best to ignore seemed to be enjoying himself over in the booths, but Sholua just listened to Dhel sing for a bit.

Deonis nodded lapsing into a comfortable silence, for him at least. Just listening to the music for a bit "I like you." He stated before taking a drink "very different on the outside, more alike than one would think."
