The dark look in Korvin's eyes says it is certainly not ok, but the chips are gone before he can speak. He casts the dark look over to a restaurant employee, waves at them, and orders one more special to share with his "friend," a word he says with great scorn at the moment.

"You know," Korvin says, coming out of his grumpiness, "I've heard some people name stuff because of certain things that happen. Like 'Lucky' or 'Clutch.' What has this thing done for you? Has it been critical so you could call it Crit?"

Fiddling with the charge meter as the gun hums
"If we're going off things that happened I could call it the 'Orphanage Buster 5'."
She waits about 5 seconds before bursting out laughing
"Ah! No, I've never blown up an orphanage. At least, not one that didn't have it coming. But I like this historical mindedness."

"Things that have happened...things that have happened. I could totally call it 'Odd' because I'm on an odyssey."

Korvin's face scrunches in thought. "Wouldn't that be a name for you, though? 'Odd, the Odyssey Girl'? I mean, a gun could be Companion or Sidekick or something..."

When the extra plate arrives, Korvin deliberately moves some of the chips to replenish his plate, then places the newly arrived plate directly in Nara's path. By the time he's done shifting things around, the woman would be hard pressed to reach his chips again, all the way across the table, and he's looking rather prepared to slap her hand if she tries.

Korvin’s plate was spared...for now. Good positioning can save fries.

“Well if that name doesn’t work, what’d you recommend? Bear in mind this is a VES pulse rifle with a custom barrel and a little engraving of a laughing Chiss on the side.”

The Pantoran looks at the rifle and them up at Nara. Without a hint of humor, he said, "If it's got a laughing Chiss on it, I'd call it Chuckles."

He took a couple sips of his bubbly drink while watching her consider that.

"Hehehhahaha! Chuckles! That's funny...or like an evil clown's name. Either way I'm kinda in. You're good at this Korvin."
she reaches across the table and slaps his shoulder happily.

Though he still doesn't know what to make of this woman, Korvin couldn't resist smiling when Nara exploded in laughter. He clearly didn't know what to make of the shoulder slap either, but he grinned anyway at the compliment.

"If all the problems I had to solve just needed witty names for things, I'd be in good shape," he says with a chuckle. "What about you? Any big problems, now that Chuckles is taken care of?"

"Nah. Got that secret conspiracy thing we can't talk about but otherwise life is good. I travel, see the sights, fire my weapon from time to time. It's like the military but much less lame. Really it's only cash that concerns me....I have expensive hobbies."
She yawns and looks over

"You probably live problem free, right? Rich, handsome, blue. There might be some guy or girl you wanna get with but I can't imagine life is too hard."

"Well... Only a few days." Korvin can't hide a self-conscious look. "But you gotta start somewhere. I mean, once upon a time my parents had only been together a few days, and now they've been married for like 25 years." Korvin's hands try to gesture to support the argument he's making, but mostly just make him look uncomfortable.

He ignores the food pointing at him, staring at her for signs of comprehension.

Life can't all just be hot passionate sex followed by the use of firearms. I mean, I wish it could be, and have written some fan fiction as a what-if? But stuff just kinda breaks down in the real world if you don't take care of it."

"Like, if you really love someone, or an explosive. You gotta show you care. Explosions are important but make sure you're listening to their needs. Maybe she wants you to ask her about her day or her job. Maybe my grenade wants me to maintain the pressure pin so it doesn't detonate on an atmosphere change, killing us all."
