[Day 4 - Late Afternoon] Bare Necessities

[Soleene Stryss]

Soleene slouched her shoulders for a moment before straightening her posture again. It seemed that this crater wasn't really much of a secret. To be fair, it was out in the open in more ways than one. "...yeah, I might have been looking into that crater too. It seems like a pretty popular site as of late. Maybe the Imperials should look into allowing a theatre to be opened here, heh. So, you've gotten close to it too? What did you see, other than get shot at?"

[J-Richo Toboga]

''Not much, honestly. I am fairly sure the second shot was made by a disruptor rifle, however.'' he began flipping the bottle of cleaning product ''I don't think they are imperials...but they might work with them or have a deal of some sort.''

[Soleene Stryss]

"A disruptor shot? Heavy-duty hardware. If I were you, I would kind of flattered." She chuckled.

"You know, that's the second time I've heard someone suspecting that something Imperial is going on with the crater. It seems like a lot of trouble when they kind of own the place, more or less."

[J-Richo Toboga]

''I suppose so...although I would have preferred a chance to fight back. Pick you blessings I suppose.'' he reflected on the question for a second

''I don't know who they are but ultimately they are not really subtle so, at least, the imperials must know about whoever is there.''

[Soleene Stryss]

"I guess they aren't very interested in being social..." She muttered. "But you might have a point about them having some support. They have a lot sitting there, almost as if they were marooned for some reason. They know there are other people around but don't want to associate with them. It's a mystery, to say the least."

[J-Richo Toboga]

''I am sure someone knows but I sure as hell don't know who.'' he sighed as best he could ''They could be some kind of illicit research station or black market of somekind...perhaps they grease the hands of the officers to keep them quiet? Can't say''

[Soleene Stryss]

"It would be amusing to know that the answers about what's out there was found in here. It would be a heck of a place to find it," she gave a shake of her head, not exactly knowing where to start if that was actually the case. It wasn't worth turning the city upside down for it, at least not right now. "I wonder if anyone bothered getting close with the Imperials yet."

[J-Richo Toboga]

He chuckled ''I certainly don't have that skill set. My dealings with them involve either staying silent, stealth or overwhelming firepower.''

[Soleene Stryss]

"No, not really mine either," she said with a sigh. "Ever thought about being all stealthy over at the crater if they're taking shots at you then?"

[J-Richo Toboga]

''That will be my next option if I get around to it...but I will need a few things before I go.'' he paused ''If I go again that is. Things might accelerate so I wonder if sating my curiosity won't just have to wait.''

[Soleene Stryss]

"Well, you have that gonk business keeping you busy, right?" She brought up. "By the sounds of it, it almost seems like a full-time underground war to keep you busy. Now that you've somehow started it, hopefully it won't lead back to that Mara kid? Not that things will go south or anything."

[J-Richo Toboga]

''It is no war and I certainly did not start it'' he said firmly

''The first time I encountered the gonk they were already fighting themselves over who would get a woman scavenger they had cornered in a collapsed building.'' he paused ''The second time they assaulted my friends and I.''

He turned his head toward Soleene

''In both cases my honor compelled me to action.''

[Soleene Stryss]

Soleene seemed to look back at J-Richo without saying anything before letting out an apologetic sigh and shaking her head. "Sorry about that, my mistake for assuming...Those are some good reasons to start stomping on the Gonks, that's for sure. Nobody should like that stand or allow it to happen again."

[J-Richo Toboga]

He gives a simple slow nod in return

''No need to apologize...I am unlikely to be the most expressive person you ever met and I do enjoy a worthy battle. Know that I follow the edicts of the Supercommando Codex like my forebears.''

[Soleene Stryss]

Soleene gave a slow shake of her head. "Aw, well. I'm probably just projecting, figured. All this heat beating down on me and nothing really to beat back. It does have me a bit antsy. Of course, a righteous battle is far better than just any random battle."

[J-Richo Toboga]

''I know the feeling. Nothing worse then being on standby while there are place you could be and make a difference'' he turns towards the imperial spire for a second

''Righteous battle will be forthcoming, however.''

[Soleene Stryss]

"We are, supposedly." She added begrudgingly. "I guess it's just not the sort of progress that I'm expecting. I have to admit that I don't know how these things are supposed to go. I just imagined more rallying and explosions for some reason. But, that didn't work so well last time, huh?"

[J-Richo Toboga]

He tilted his head

''Last time?''

[Soleene Stryss]

She would nod back on the matter. "When I landed, a lot of people seem to make mention of Kamda and the efforts that happened there. From what I heard, the thing took a more aggressive route and didn't go well for people involved?"

[J-Richo Toboga]

''Ah...yes. I do recall Julo mentioning something related. I was not debriefed on the full story, however.'' he thought for a moment

''Our people used to favor in and out strategies...I don't understand how those would fail against the Empire.''
