I think so too.
It's a level of honestly and intimacy that he hasn't felt in a while. Not even with Cartess, his teacher. Yes, he had been open and honest, and he trusted her, but he had never quite dropped his guard, or ever been in a position anywhere close to that on an equal. This...this was different.
