Another Day, Another Few Credits in the Till (D3 ME, The Cave)

"True..." she agreed, a touch somber. Some time ago, the Jedi and the Republic did what they could to stomp out the Mandalorians, after all. And thousands of years before that, the Mandalorians had waged a great war on the Republic.

At least one thing she knew was true from those historical encounters, and from having seen Phroth in battle herself; the Jedi were the most worthy foe on the battlefield for a Mandalorian.

"Thank you. I strive every day to make that the truth." Raven eyed him curiously for a moment. "I know that likewise, you are an example to others like you. An example on how to move on and see ahead. Though I won't ask for details about them - your safety is important to me, and I know all too well the dangers that follow you."

"Well you can swing a vibroaxe around two seconds after you pick it up and do some decent damage. A sword takes practise. Skill. Otherwise you may as well just be swinging a length of pipe around."

She smiled at him.

"It's why you rarely see anyone using one these days."

Deonis thinks on it for a minute "Maybe. You sound like you've had a bit of training. To know all that." He said with a hint of curiosity in his voice

"I started swinging a length of pipe around over a decade ago. I like to think I'm actually using a sword these days."

She grinned.

"No sword lessons. All self taught by slapping the bad guys of the moment around."

[Deonis Harik]

Deonis grunts "impressive to teach yourself so much. Should spar sometime see if we can teach eachother a thing or two."

"Sounds a better idea than getting hired by opposing crews."

She smirked.

"However, not like there are gyms or fighting circles around here. Well not unless you go down to Gonkland. They probably have them."

He heaved large armored shoulders in a shrug "No one pays attention in Lower City. Nothing fancy just open space. All you need."

"No one pays attention because everyone wants to just survive the day. Noticing weapons down there is asking for trouble."

"I've lived down there for a while, unless you get close to medical out reach usually no troopers. It was just an idea."

"And I appreciate that you knowing just what I am carries a lot of danger for you, as well. Something I don't take for granted. I'd... well... there'd be a lot more like that sergeant on Kamda if I found out anything happened to you on account of knowing me." He offered her a reassuring grin, but the implication was there.

He didn't need a lightsaber to tear someone's head off.

"Warriors like us look out for one another," she smirked, understanding very well what he meant.

"You missed out on a fine feast at the wedding though. We might just have to throw another party here on Bellionas, as a delayed celebration for those who couldn't be there."

[Phroth Lissken]

"I'm sorry I missed it! Let's plan on making up for that loss, as you said." The joy about life seemed to suffuse through him again, moving onto the happier topic.

"Really liven the place up, show this system how to really enjoy themselves."

Raven just hoped that Praxton would be well enough by the time they would have the opportunity to hold such a celebration. Phroth's meeting with her husband had been rather brief and short in the past, when he had been part of the group that had saved them from the Empire's grasp.

"A hunt, followed by a party... hopefully we'll see things improve around her first, before we get to it. Like on Kamda."

[Phroth Lissken]

"I'm not hoping." Phroth nodded firmly. "Seems we've got more hands involved. We're working to see things improve. That takes the spark of hope, and makes it spread like wildfire into action." He grinned again.

"It may be system by system, but I think we're gonna do it."

"It would certainly be glorious," Raven chuckled, her grin almost matching the sharkman's.

"Let's drink to the downfall of our enemies, and glory to be found in battle, my friend. This round's on me."
