Claymore a bit more enamored with the sight of a Night Owl than ducking behind the boulder like he should be doing now.

As Varina took the first step to rush forward, her intent revealed both Raven and Soleene were quick in their reactions. All around just as many of the Raiders warriors were surprised as were getting ready to jump to Reibelle's defense. Reibelle, however, stood strong where she was and in that brief moment smirked.

Raven and Soleene may declare reactions, potentially stopping Varina.

Later, she'd thank Soleene for being quick to react and step in. But now it was more important to stay focused.

With years of experience born from combat and a hard life, one of Raven's strong arms got a pretty good hold on the younger and lither girl, grabbing her firmly and holding her back.

Raven manages to act quick and get a hold onto Varina, however in the brief struggle of wills both women find themselves losing their footing in the struggle and tumbling to the floor with a thud, dust kicking up all around them.

Seeing Raven taken the plunge and hold back Varina, Soleene decided to reinforce her efforts. Extra limbs kicking up sand and dust was more pain than it was worth, especially when it was course and could get everywhere. Unfortunately, her efforts were in vain and found herself shoved back without being able to grab hold to lock it in.

"Oooof!" She muttered underneath her helmet.

"Quit your whinging and control yourself, child!" Raven hissed angrily, maintaining her hold on Varina. The younger Mandalorian wasn't easy to hold on to, and her own irritation rose, tempting her to take it out on the Ordo girl.

Of all the times... why did she chose this exact moment to do this, damnit?!

Soleene picked herself up with a groan. Now she was feeling a bit upset over this happening. What was this even about and why was the meeting getting flipped over for this? So much for bargaining power when they could see how they were fighting with each other...

"This is seriously not the time right now!" She growled.

"Teenagers..." Clay said quietly, still perched on the boulder, folding his arms.

Reibelle stepped forward, walking a few feet away from Raven and Varina in the dirt and squatted down to look just across at them. Wearing a smirk at first but the expression shifted slightly as a strange uncertainty took her. Still, she grinned as she called back to those watching, "Seems we're not the only group suffering a bit of discord," she chuckled, shaking her head a little as she watched them.

"Let her go," she says, rising back to her feet. Words that caused the warriors surrounding them to ease up and step back a bit more creating a circle. "Let her show that she's tougher than me. We can always talk later- some things can't be made to wait," there was that harshness to her tone that curled in a way so that it was always but even more now passively taunting.

How humiliating. Did the brat even understand what could have been at risk? Probably not. Damnit. A part of her badly wanted to beat Varina for this, but...

Raven considered the Valkyrie's words for a moment, meeting the woman's gaze and... nodded, then silently eased her hold on the young Ordo. Shifting to her knees, she got up swiftly and stepped back to give the 'family reunion' the space it needed.

Varina tried to do her kick flip back to her feet but it took more than one try. She let out an annoyed groan and slipped on her sap gloves. If she was going to punch her mom, she was going to make sure it hurt.

Is this really the best idea?

There wasn't any more room for doubt. She cocked her fist back and went in for a jab, mainly for distance, followed by a weave and uppercut. Surely she'd end it quick that way...

Reibelle watched as Varina made her move, leaving just enough space of time where Varina was certain she would connect but her mother shifted out of the way of the strike as she was ready for it. Stepping a few feet away Reibelle watched her daughter and said, "That all you got?"

Around them a few of the other warriors chuckled at the exchange.

As she squared up against her daughter again she raised her fists this time. Beckoning Varina into another strike with a wave toward her. However, as she prepared for Varina to come again she had no intention of avoiding this hit.

"Kriff you!" That was the best she could come up with? "You're... the worst!" Varina gripped her fists, wondering if this was some sort of bait. It didn't help with the trembling. The adrenaline, the people laughing at her expense, her so-called friends holding her back, and not to mention her stupid mom and her face!

She huffed once and kept her mouth quiet despite the urge to scream. It seemed like her common lead was the jab with a cross following afterward. The final bit of the combo was a double-hook, one to the gut, beskar'gam and all, with the next to the jaw.

With the first hit Varina found her mom had a strong stance, with the beskar'gam she barely shifted with the hit giving that realization that she seemed capable to have put up a defense. Following through, Reibelle's arm shifted down and let the second hit in to connect across her jaw. With that second hit the woman's body moved with the blow. Pausing a moment to let the pain of the hit settle she took a breath. Facing back to Varina there was a small split to her lip, a thumb-smear amount of blood trickling as Reibelle grinned, "Get what you wanted?"

Varina shook her head. "No, no, it doesn't work if you don't hit me back!" She really did just ask her own mom to hit her. "It doesn't count otherwise." She closed her eyes, definitely not thinking about her guard. This really wasn't going the way she imagined.

What had she fantasized about? Her mom hugging her and taking her back? Stupid, stupid, stupid...

Reibelle watched Varina, considering, and nodded. Stepping back to regain the starting space again she brought her arms back up, "If that's what you want, come again," she said, there was little passion in her voice as she said it.

Around them the warriors of the Salky Raiders seemed uncertain how they should behave. What was once a bit of entertainment for them to watch and laugh about had suddenly lost it's touch. Instead the warriors remained silent as they watched the confrontation, restrained by their uncertainty.

"Don't... try to make me feel bad about this!" Her shout was directed to everyone but mostly herself. She had genuinely hoped on being a better person. But everything coursing through her veins told her to express her pain and how else could she do so but through violence?

She took a step back before going in for another attack. This time, she went for a bit more flourish. She sent a few punches to shield her intended sweep kick. A bit difficult hitting into armor but she nonetheless followed up with her jumping, superman punch.

Another good strike against the jaw Reibelle's face recoiled with the hit, but her grip came up and held onto Varina's arm when she connected. With her unsteady footing, and unfamiliar ground, Reibelle twisted at the hip and pulled Varina with that momentum forward and around sending her onto the ground on her back. Soon as Varina has the moment to realize where she was her mothers knee rests down on her chest, steadying herself as she gives one solid jab across the jaw.

Looking down to her daughter Reibelle her expression was serious and focused, as well she was now sporting a proper blood trickle on her lip from the previous hit. No one cheered.

The punch definitely hurt but the shock of it actually happening hit her harder. Varina lied there, completely limp, refusing to look her mother in the face. There were a million different sentences building up in her throat but nothing came out.
