Game Night (D5, EE. Drezzie's)

[Raven Cadera]

Drezzie wasn't her usual place to kick back, but Dhel wouldn't be performing her set until later that night and Raven had other plans for that time, so instead she opted to hang out at Drezzie's.

The place wasn't all that familiar to her, as she had been prefering The Cave, so she kept her helmet on as she sat down by a table to watch some of the games being played.

A few minutes pass by before another mandalorian enters the bar. The man seemed to have a degree of familiarity with the place as he walks directly to a pool table with a small piece of paper with 'reserved' written on it. It is promptly removed so the balls can find their place on the table.

Another of the Raiders?

No... she was fairly certain after her findings that most of them didn't come into the city, especially not just to kick back and relax. And this one seemed familiar to the place. They had reserved a pool table...?

Not moving from her seat just yet, her visor turned more in the direction of the unknown Mandalorian, waiting to see if his friends were coming along to join him for a game. No one would reserve a pool table just for themselves, right?

The man placed the triangle in the middle of the table and filled it up by alternating the stripes and the fulls. He inspected his work before reaching for a cue to which he added some more chalk.

He passed a tumb over the striking end and judged it sastisfactory. He proceeded to remove the triangle before walking around the table to place the white ball and inspecting his angles for the first shot.

Observing him going through setting up the game and starting to play on his own, Raven figured this might be the one who claimed to be of clan Toboga that Soleene had mentioned.

So not someone who was part of the Raiders, or the Rebuilders, and probably not loyal to Saxon (considering the circumstances of Soleene's encounter with him).

Figuring she might as well poke the mystery, in case she was mistaken, Raven rose from her seat and approached the pool table, taking up a spot by the nearby wall so as to not unintentionally throw the man off his game. While her cloak covered some of her armor, it was unmistakably a Mandalorian armor to the eyes of Mando'ade.

The man took his time and made a careful shot, breaking the ball formation with not much force as to keep them relatively grouped. It was when he began turning around the table to reposition himself that he noticed the one observing him.

His visor seemed to scan Raven for a second

''Su cuy'gar'' he gave a nod ''Who might you be?''

[Raven Cadera]

"Su cuy'gar," she returned, a dip of her head in greeting as she pushed herself off the wall since it seemed he was on a break in the game. "I'm Raven Cadera. I presume you must be the one of Clan Toboga my sister has spoken of. Unless you are one of the Raiders...?" The fluctuation of the words marked her as a native speaker of the tongue.

[J-Richo Toboga]

''I am indeed J-Richo of Clan Toboga'' he confirmed ''Follower of the supercommando codex of Al'Ori'Ramikade Jaster Mereel'' His mando'a was good but something in the pronunciation was not quite perfect...perhaps a lack of practice?

''Raven the sister of the lucky one and follower of the new Mand'alor?''

[Raven Cadera]

"Lucky one? I assume Soleene is not telling me everything she is getting up to then," the description sounded amusing to her, curious even of why that was the words chosen. "But yes, I follow Mand'alor the Rebuilder and accept his claim. My actions guided by the Resol'nare."

[J-Richo Toboga]

He tilted his head as if he did not understand ''It is not complicated, she wears her luck on her sleeve...so to speak''

He lowered his head back to the table, searching for the best angle

''I have not seen her in a couple of weeks. Has your business on Bellionas been resolved successfully?''

[Raven Cadera]

Maybe there was something between the two of them she didn't know about. Or maybe something she'd have to ask Soleene about.

"Not yet." She offered in response at first, reluctant to share the details of the matter. "May I ask what brings a lone Mandalorian to Bellionas in these times? It's far away from Mandalorian space. Soleene mentioned something about you searching for others of your clan...?"

[J-Richo Toboga]

He nods

''Mandalore space has not been a welcoming place for several decades for several decades for quite a few of our people. I have never been there myself.'' he admitted ''I am indeed looking for others of my clan...I am not sure many of us remain.''

He withheld the shot he was about to make

''I am here to fulfill a debt to Neera on behalf of another who cannot do so.''

"I can't say I've met other members of Clan Toboga. Sorry." It was the least she could answer. "Others of our enclave might know some however."

Considering how many of there numbers there seemed to be, and she hadn't even met the all, it could be possible.

"Neera, the blue twi'lek, right? We know of him. Apart from our personal business, we have some ties there too."

[J-Richo Toboga]

''I did hear from Soleene that some of you had a role to play on Kamda. I was not made aware of the details, however.''

He knocked on the table

''You play?''

[Raven Cadera]

"I was part of most of the fighting there, against the Empire," she explained calmly, her head turned to look at the pool-table. "It's not a game I know very well, but I could give it a shot."

[J-Richo Toboga]

He tossed her a pool cue before making the table ready.

''The game is fairly simple: we seek to pocket the all of out ball then pocket the black one without pocketing the white. Which balls is ours will be determined by the first one in.''

Let's use FS's improv rules!: Let's try to keep it simple. Hard Coordination. Each successful shot allows another shot, with Advantages or Threats adding Boosts or Setbacks to the next shot. With a failed shot, Advantages or Threats become Setbacks or Boosts for the other player's shot. Triumphs and Despairs can be wins, losses or something else interesting, depending on the situation.

Taking the cue, she looked it over for a moment, as if appraising how poorly it would work as a weapon... pretty poorly. Would probably break on the first hit. Broken cue could probably be used for stabbing those without armor.

"Alright." Rolling her shoulder to loosen up the stiffness from the old injury, Raven tried to copy the movements of Toboga earlier and what she'd seen before. Which... didn't work out that well, as none of the balls went down, but rather scattered around more.

"What plans do you have here apart from your obligation?"

[J-Richo Toboga]

''None aside from doing a little good here and there.'' he took his turn and aimed carefully and put one in. The orange ball number five, as it were

''I don't know much about this planet but I've had some interesting challenges'' Number two was pocketed as well but he was unsuccessful in doing a third

''What about you?''

[Raven Cadera]

"Apart from helping the locals, I am hunting a man." She paused for her turn, looking at the state of the game and trying to figure out how to shoot better. Probably not so much force this time... there was more to her mission than that, but it was the most important part of it.

"Do you have any ties to the Salky Raiders?"
