Facing the Past [D5, LE](Closed)

Through the Arid badlands the armored hulk walked cloak pulled around him to deflect wind and sand that blew between the canyons and hills. He had a realization today, a reckoning of how he saw the world, the force and himself.

When he arrived on Bellionas, almost two years ago now, he hid something deep in the badlands. A relic of his past self. One of the last reminders he kept with him from his previous life. Even after the encounter with Shadow Tyllia, the entity pretending to be her at least, each step still weighed heavy as it brought him ever closer to to his destination.

All around the badlands felt darker, though it was encroaching into night and this darkness was mostly natural there was that reminder of the swamp in the way shadows were cast against the ground. Stepping forward to his destination he came closer and closer to the resting place of that reminder of his past.

The night life of a bad lands is sparsely populated but not nonexistent, the chirps of night time inspects and scurrying of small animals retreating to their burrows filled the air. Louder than all that, to him, was the thudding impact of each step onto the dry dusty ground of thr scant trail he walked.

Eventually his steps led him to the cave he had found when he arrived, simultaneously feeling like a life time ago and just yesterday. He stood for a moment at the mouth of that cavern, Deonis took a large breath to help calm the poinding in his chest and with a small force of Will took his steps into the cave.

Within the cave he felt it before he could see it, someone else had been here after him.

A rising sense of panic welled up in his chest, his heart beating hard as his pace quickened into the cave already enhancing his strength incase the intruder remained here.

He moved through the cave toward his hiding spot looking for the item he stashed there.

Finding the hiding spot he can see clearly it's been disturbed, the item within gone, and the start of a barely visible train in the dirt and terrain that leads back out of the cave.

In great haste he follows the dirt trail out looking for any sign of where the thief had gone.

Deonis was a warrior, he was no tracker, he had no ability to discern footprints or a trail in the dirt.

What he was certain of is that they took it, and fled this place. From what basic idea he had the tracks didn't look too recent which meant they could survive another night at least.

Perhaps, with hope.. the daylight might bring better answers. That, or he could always find a tracker.

Anger. Burning rage was all he felt in the moment. Someone had taken what was not theirs to take. Worse over, there was nothing he could do about it and was forced to head back into town empty handed.

As he passed.. there was a chill that wafted through the air came before even sun-fall. One Deonis would only find natural as it emanated from the burning rage in his chest, sucking the warmth from the air around it to fuel that inner fire.

Mixed with the anger was confusion, no one else knew about it not even people he trusted the most on the planet. The chances someone wandered into this random cave miles from town were slim to none.

Deonis wracked his brain trying to think how something like this could have happened barring the most random of cosmic chances.

((Any chance this is related to his nights getting no rest and mysterious injuries and reasonable to make that connection?))
