[D5 MA] Flower Picking of the Damned

Deepest portion of the swamp that seems to "turn around" travelers that attempt to enter it. Dark and dangerous.

The other remaining Rathat attempts to, yet again, bite down on the Mando, only for him to expertly move out of the way like he was some sort of trained soldier from birth or something. Still, there's always next time.

The Toboga Mandalorian stands tall as its mouth opened up wide to consume him. Thinking quickly, he shoved his rifle down its throat and roared as it fired a barrage of blasts inside of it, not letting up until he heard the dreaded "click" of his blaster rifle. The creature falls down on the floor from the blast. The creature stood there, motionless as what could only be perceived as a sigh of relief exits the Mando's mouth.

Then, it got back up, roaring in a pitch that your humanoid ears could barely perceive. The eyes stared at J-Richo, and if it could understand anger, it was now.

The Rathar hears the roar, and, after recieving yet another strong wound against it, returns the roar in the same pitch. With that, the one in front of the two of you starts to back away, roaring again in the direction of the other Rathar, although his exit is very slow, due to his injuries. It does take a swing with its tentacles as it exits to cover his escape, due to not being able to move as fast. Though it misses, it does make any potential chance of attack against it that much more difficult.

Her injury was clearly worse than anything she'd experienced in quite a while; enough to cause her to stumble momentarily. Enough to have made it perfectly justified to flee even, perhaps. After all, she lacked the kind of armored physique that dedicated warriors tended to have. But, seeing the creature limp away; or whatever the equivalent term was for a tentacled abomination; she decided to press on instead.

She flipped her way into range, performing a strike, then flipped back out. If the creature still lived, it would have to decide between fight or flight.

It was a good solid hit from the "Jedi", but the Rathar was still up and able, despite everything you've done to it. Due to the thrashing about, the Rathar does manage to crush your saber a bit while it thrashes about in pain. (minor damage to lightsaber)

With that, the other Rathar, now filled with blaster holes galore, takes one last chomp at the Mando before beginning to scurry off.

And what a chomp it was, leaving the poor Mando disoriented from the experience!

The Rahthar assault was fierce but the Mando held strong. As the headringer came about his experience kicked in and was able to regain control of himself

"Nice try" he told the beast as he reloaded his weapon and sing for more.

Lick was on the creature's side as the trees and and vegetation gave it ample cover

Aanli lowered her weapon. Kid, why are you chasing it?

"That's enough. Let them go; they aren't a threat. They'll just go find weaker prey while they recover."

They'd already done enough damage.

The mandalorian was lining up another shot but held it when the doctor called the fight off: the mission had priority

''Allright. There is little honor in killing them now anyway.''

He turned to the other armored man

Tyllia would've been happy to keep fighting; but neither was she so gung-ho about it that she would press it when the others seemed inclined to let it go, so she took a few steps back to get out of its tentacle range, flipped off the saber, and took a moment to catch her breath.

She wasn't 'good', clearly. She'd taken more than a bit of a wallop, and she likely showed it too. Her lightsaber was damaged too; though still functional.

With that, the Rathar run off into the swamp, their green blood leaving a trail behind them, mixing into the muck of the swamp.

You have a dead Rathar before you and a bleeding human with a lightsaber.

Overall, this could have been worse.

Whew. That was a great deal of ecological damage, but at least they didn't press the matter.

"This is..." she looked over the dead rathtar. "This is a lot. Just the GI tract of this creature is practically a microcosm of this ecosystem. This will be loud, but... this is too much of an opportunity to pass up. Mr. Harik, we shall have need of your blade again."

She assessed the lightsaber wound on the creature, judged its depth. "Can you make a cut right here, and make it look like a combat wound? This section of flesh will beg too many questions. Then, if we sever most of the tentacles, the specimen should be movable." She pulled some sealant from her medkit to keep too much blood and viscera from escaping.

That, she followed up with the minimum medical attention to keep Tyllia moving; more proper treatment could happen somewhere safer. "Please forgive the personal question, everyone, but I suppose it has become pertinent... may I ask just how old are all of you?"

She gripped her side and pulled out one of her stims; injecting herself with a quick jab. It wasn't enough, but it at least kept her on her feet; then she looked toward the doctor taking charge. Odd that she'd think about the corpse first rather than any injuries the group might've sustained, but she supposed that as long as none of them were bleeding out, the mission; whatever that was; came first. But she did receive *some* attention, moments later, it seemed. And a question.

"What does it matter?"

"If I believed you were an imperial here to undermine the resistance, I would not be trying to cover up your use of a lightsaber and inviting you to tea; we would answer that threat. I presume because this is not the time to clarify, and I have to make decisions on incomplete information. And I am taking a risk for your sake doing so."

She sighed. "I have a splitting head-ache, doctor. Like you said, we'll deal with this later. We should deal with more immediate problems first."

[Forgot to mention in earlier post, but stimpack would've healed 5 wounds, leaving 5 wounds and an average critical.]
