"More often these last few days now that someone has been out there causin' a fuss," he groaned, shaking his head. Crossing his arms in front of himself he leaned in on his knees, "Civvies never know when to leave well enough alone.."

She then nods. "Well... Guess you've got a point though. So.. it was calmer with them earlier, it seems?"

She looks at the buildings around. "You don't feel getting too hands on with things might actually improve the lot of folks down here though, yea?"

"Having a few extra hands around here would be great, but- whispers tell of droids who've been pokin' at the gonks. Gonks get poked at and they poke back, kinda like a swarm. Leave 'em alone and they.. they wander out, time to time, but not in retaliation. Retaliation is when it gets bad for the people here."

The still robed and hooded Zimrzala falls silent for a bit, thinking. After a while, she finally nods.

"I see. So... When you say poking, it's like... Invading their area? I keep wondering - could some shared respect be worked out between them and the people here, maybe?"

"Not that I've ever seen. Raiders are.. bastards, the one's that talk. Others just yell manically at you like they're entranced in some kinda battle rage. Try talkin' to them and they just keep rushing you, bloody axes in hand."

She nodded at the hooded figure. "Hm. Yea... so I've heard. I... think not all of them are just battle-crazed like that, though. I... think there may be something else going on here. Just... not sure what."

She speaks slowly, almost as if thinking to herself as she speaks. But then she nods, a small smile showing inside the hood. "You wouldn't happen to remember a time before they were around? I haven't been around for long enough to know what that would be like..."

A child, notably, that seemed sick but well enough to stand. Which was important considering the journey they were about to make.

Jaxom put his data pad away and began walking closer.

They've said situations about as old as the Empire.." he says, as the other of the duo she saw before comes out from the building holding the hand of a child. A child, notably, that seemed sick but well enough to stand. Which was important considering the journey they were about to make.

She nodded. "I see..." A weak, saddened but compassionate smile. "It's funny how so many problems seem tied to that one event, isn't it?", she says in a somewhat lower voice, but then turns her head to look at the child with a kind smile. For now she says nothing, just letting the child come closer and waiting for anything the others might say - although she notices the approach of the man she'd met before in the ferry.

"Sure- if that's your humor," he says, glancing from her to the man approaching. With the child outside and his comrade joining him. "We best be going for now though, hmm? Gotta make sure the kid gets to Docs safe and sound. His pops has been laid up with us for a while and the mother.." he just glances up into the building, shakes his head.

"Just hoping they'll all make it," the other of the cloaked men spoke up, his voice was practically the same as the first.

She looks at the child, then at each of the adults, her face changing as some worry sets in. "Oh... of course. I..."

She looks at the kid, wondering what sort of illness is affecting them and their parents. "I... might offer some help, if you feel like it. Just company on the way.... or something else if needed" She looks around. "Does seem like a quiet day, but one never knows.

She looks at the child again, her worry making way somewhat to a weak smile as she looks from one of the adults to another. "I... I trust the Doc has taken good care of them? I'm sure they'll be alright", she adds, trying to sound encouraging...

Seeing the reactions as he approached, Jaxom paused some distance away and waited. He didn't want to seem like a threat, but he understood their wariness.
