(D6, ME The Cave) Singin' in the (almost) Rain

“You too. How’s the planet been treating you?” She asked.

"The secret is, you're not expected to know what she calls a move when she's practicing it. So make something up, if it sounds cool, she might pick that one." Dhel's eyes sweep the crowd, making eye contact here and there with a raised eyebrow, grinning as someone calls up "The Whipcaster! and another, "Sathari Mating Dive!"

"See, I don't think I've heard that one before. But Dore always asks for a Whipcaster from the dancers." Her hand at his waist offers a squeeze. 'Those give you any inspiration?"

Korvin's eyes reveal he's a little overwhelmed, but a squeeze from Dhel is pretty motivating to him. With a little thought, a silent prayer to not sound stupid, and then a deep breath, Korvin calls out, "Inverted Alakatha Swoop!"

With the idea out there now, Korvin finds he's more interested in the dance, anxiously awaiting something he can take credit for. That interest holds for maybe 30 seconds before a little wiggle from Dhel reminds him of other things he likes to watch. The arm around her didn't move, though its hand shifted from her waist to a spot near her hip and gave an affectionate squeeze.

When Dhel whistled it drew a grin from Sholua and spurred her into a new set of acrobatic whirls alternating up through hand and leg holds until she was pretty far up the pole. There she slowed the spins, waiting to see who in the crowd would shout a suggestion first and if it was one she would punch them for later.

A familiar set of armor moved closer to the stage as she worked. He wasn't so crass as to shout suggestions or say anything for that matter, but he did watch the performance with a a great amount of interest if the fact that his visor didn't move off her was anything to go by.

She rests her head on his shoulder, one eye on the stage. 'You're supposed to tip if you ask for a move," she reminds him. "Just let me know if you're tossing large credits so I can be sure that's in her pile at the end of the night."

"Is the swoop some kind of bike move?"

The suggestion had been made and Sholua laughed inside at yet again someone saying 'swoop' to her. The move she executed at his suggestion was indeed 'inverted' being mostly upside down. It was certainly a swoop as it dipped fast down the pole and almost touched the ground. As for Alakatha . . . well that must have been the spinning, hand gestures and head position . . . wasn't it?

Korvin was about to respond to Dhel when he saw the dramatic swoop that Sholua executed. Inverted and swooping for sure, and as for Alakatha? It looked pretty, and that was about Korvin's understanding of the distant moon.

"She did it!" He turned to Dhel -- as much as he could with her already snuggled against him -- beaming with excited wonder. "That thing, that I just made up, and she..." He bubbles with pride and awe.

Realizing that this probably isn't in line with the cool guy he prefers to be, Korvin turns embarrassed for a moment, then tries to reset. "So uh, I definitely think that's worth something big," he says more calmly. "What's, uh, a good number?"

“You too. How’s the planet been treating you?” She asked.

"Not too bad thus far. Managed to get some decent shots over the last couple weeks, so it's not like it's been a wasted trip." Far from it honestly.

"You finally getting the chance to see the night life, or is this a new favorite spot or something?"

Dhel winks at Sholua and laughs as she swoops about the pole. "It was a fun name. And tips are usually anything from a credit--which is kinda cheap, but adds up if they're around every night--to fifty or so? More than that, and it's a really nice night." She tips her head up to kiss his cheek with one more squeeze before sliding off her seat. "But that also means it's time to hit the stage again."

"Leaning back in, she murmurs quietly. "Keep half an eye on the guy over there with the helmet staring at Sho, would you? Just want a bit of warning if that's more than just appreciating the assets on display."

And then she's away, climbing back onto the stage to check the music and snag the mic for the next piece.

Raven slipped inside the familiar establishment, disappointed to have missed Dhel's performance.

Wearing her usual cloak and headscarf with the hood up, the tall woman looks for a place to watch the impressive display happening on stage. Wow. She must work out a lot to do *that*!

"Not too bad thus far. Managed to get some decent shots over the last couple weeks, so it's not like it's been a wasted trip." Far from it honestly.

"You finally getting the chance to see the night life, or is this a new favorite spot or something?"

“Trying something new. Trying to take my mind of work for a night.”

After the 'swoop' came another 'climb' and then into an almost idle holding pattern before looping back down again and letting Dhel have the limelight once more.

"Work been difficult lately then?" He asked as his drink arrived from the waitress. "Or just getting monotonous?"

Raven slipped inside the familiar establishment, disappointed to have missed Dhel's performance.

Deonis saw the Mandalorian in her covert outfit. He nodded to her and raised his glass in greeting.

Spotting the familiar-looking armor, Raven figured she might as well move over to where he was to be social. "Hey there," she raised a hand in greeting. Sitting at the bar wasn't her preferred spot, but it would do tonight. Mostly it seemed to be familiar faces here.

The bartender, recognizing her, waited for her to place her order; the same she had usually had every time here. One of the non-alcoholic mixed drinks that had been very cooling and refreshing in the hotter days. "Oh, one more thing," Raven placed a small parcel wrapped in parchment on the counter, sliding it over to the man, "pass this down to Dhel will you? I see she's busy with someone else now, so just point out to her who it's from."

With that done and the drink-order placed, Raven turned fully to Deonis. Her headwrap still concealed most of her features, except for the upper half of her face and revealing her blue eyes. "How you been, big guy?"

"Work been difficult lately then?" He asked as his drink arrived from the waitress. "Or just getting monotonous?"

“It’s been an intense couple of weeks getting up to speed... I work in the Spire for an Imperial researcher. Not too many opportunities to kick up my feet.” She replied as a drink arrived for her.

As Sholua works through her piece, the bartender stops over to pass Dhel the little envelope and message. The Bothan searches the crowd before spotting Raven...next to the fellow who was watching Sho so intently? Well, that made it easy to ask about him later.

She pauses till she can catch Raven's eye and lifts the packet in acknowledgment with a smile before tucking it into a pocket that's utterly invisible in the full skirt. If she worries about Korvin's response to her receiving mysterious gifts, it's not apparent as she moves into transitional patter to drum up applause (and possibly tips) for Sho as she touches down.

"I'll be taking a few requests after this, so you've got a few minutes to think about it, eh? Remember the rules...nothing operatic or more than 80% likely to get someone arrested, ok?" After which she starts into a well-known, fast-paced song about a galactic tour that keeps adding a line about the most recent stop to the chorus. It seems there's a request element to this one as well, as the regulars call out the planet of their favorite planet hoping for it to be added next.

Korvin had smiled at the kiss and begun a fairly unsubtle impression of a guard dog in honor of Dhel's request. It fairly quickly settled into a more natural and subtle kind of observation of armor dude, though, as Dhel readying herself on stage took over an amount of Korvin's attention. He noticed the package delivery, and Dhel's gesture to the woman trying too hard to look stealthy. He had a thoughtful look on his face for a time as he considered... something.

Part way into her song, the Pantoran rises to take some credit chips up for both her and Sho, continuing to split his attention as required.

"sounds like it makes time off something of a celebration then." Carden replied with a soft chuckle.

"Glad my job is more laid back and not as stressful as yours."

He took a drink from the metal tube that went under his helmet and looked back at her "how about you?"
