"My new name is Search Collection and Transport, or SCaT for short. My new purpose is to salvage dangerous warships and repair whatever needs fixing." Taking a moment to look around at the question about enemies, it replies "I understand that the CIS is no longer a governmental institute, but the ideals it fought for are still important."

"Security, defense, and hunting, for whom? You must have owners, yes? How else did you acquire berths on a ship like this." She looked at the BX droid. "Especially you."

"I didn't say security defense and hunting. I said Search Collect and Transport, as in I find broken ships in the middle of nowhere, use my infrabinoculars to avoid all the weapons that may be onboard, then either repair the ship so I can take it to the nearest port or grab the black box and take it back to my boss."

The droid extended his robotic arm to return the fusion lantern, with a thanks that sounded totally forced and mechanical.

She gave an annoyed sigh. Droids could be so frustrating to interact with. Even the more functional one between them didn't seem to fully follow who she was talking to and when.

"Alright, you," she pointed at the B1 droid, "who'se your boss?"

"And you," she pointed at the other, "is your owner onboard this ship?"

"Ah, this unit is currently owned by one Dozay Hikkarin, and works for the Hikkarin Recycling Corporation."

Technical Sargent ERROR...ERROR...not organic.>>'' For a moment the droid seemed confused as his malfuctioning software made a conflicting paradox with the human being confused with a non-organic, while being an organic and be recognized as such.

She had not enough clearance for BXE-322 to give that information to her. If the information even existed, at all.

In a different time and different place, she could probably easily have gotten her hands on any backdoor override codes. She was pretty sure those were a thing. She might even have heard them used once.

She sighed again.

Frustrating though the conversation was, it was really all she had to do to pass the time during the trip. Besides, you never knew if there was going to be a payoff at the end.

A short distance away a slender Pantoran woman bobbed her head to some music as she listened with one earphone in. She tried not to pry, but droid voices had a tendency to carry fairly well in common spaces. She paid little attention to the conversation, however, opting to try and psych herself up for the days ahead while she still had time.

And you don't have to state all of that internal decision making stuff either you know. I've never known a BX droid to do that anyhow. Take a page from the B1 here, at least the way he talks sounds a bit more like actually talking."

"It is socially expected for droids to serve a purpose. It's not enough to simply delete war protocols, they need to be replaced with a different primary function. My owner replaced my army protocols with maintaince objectives. Note for future interactions, organics assume there are no battle droids, so they panic when they see one carrying a vibro sword and grenades. My advise is to take note of new social protocols and implement them into your behaviors from here on out." It takes a few seconds after saying that with a distant look, as if not paying attention to the world before speaking to itself. "Note to self, part of old programming overlooked, make note of it and advise older to update program upon next reboot in an hour."

Tyllia really had no 'response' to give to the BX droid, so she stayed quiet and merely observed the droids for a moment, then their surroundings. At least people didn't seem to be paying *too* much attention; not if the Pantoran woman was any indication. Music, that's the one thing she forgot! Did her datapad even have an option for music storage and playback?

While she wasn't generally the intrusive type, approaching the woman seemed like a good way out of formulating a non-response to the droid. So she gave them one last look.

"Well, whatever. Stay out of trouble, droids."

She then walked over to the woman and pointed at an ear. "What are you listening to?"

“Coruscant news reports.” She paused with a deadpan face. “Stuff’s got a sweet beat.”

She offered a small smile to indicate she was joking.

“Actually it’s some new stuff I picked up on the last place I was.” She extended a ear bud.

BXE didn't continue to interact with the human female once she departed. In fact the droid didn't even seem to notice that she left the droids between themselves.
