The mando would have advised against it but the kids seemed to know what they were doing. This was their turf after all.

Richo observed the competitors upon joining the stands and recognized one: the punk kid who bothered him during his pool game

"I doubt she'll cause problems. Have you got everything you need?"

[Carden Willhol]

Carden was pretty certain that Korvin didn't spell Death to his enemies, but he wasn't going to argue with the chiss woman either. She tended to carry big guns around and enjoy shooting people.

Finding a good place to watch, he looked over the area. There were a few at least he recognized, but he didn't approach yet instead turning towards his four camera droids. It probably wouldn't be a problem to take some pictures of the race.

[Soleene Stryss]

"Clay's a weird one, but he's got a good head for machines and mechanics. I'm betting he's probably fine-tuned that bike of his," she said with some amusement, spotting their brother in the lineup now too.

"Yeah, the Pantoran. Only seen him around briefly though, so hey, my guess could be off. I'm not always the best person at gauging who people really are. But you think the Mirialan is competition?" The visor turned slightly in the direction there, to size up both the other competitors.

"Weird..." She murmured under her breath and lowered her tone. "So it's not just me who thought so, huh?"

"Well, he'd better be! He seemed to talk a really big game to be a disappointment." She gave a small shrug afterwards. "No pressure or anything, I guess I got a free ride 'home' out of it. Should be exciting stuff, probably the few amounts of fun people see around here without Imperials showing up with their ugly mugs...even then, I wouldn't put it past them."

[Korvin Hikarrin]

"I doubt she'll cause problems. Have you got everything you need?"

"Yeah," he said with a chuckle. "I'm pretty sure I do. Just need a couple minutes alone with Ruby right before we start."

He looks toward the spectator area again. "I wonder if I've got time to go see my fans..."

[The SCaT Droid]

"Well if that is all you need from me before we start, I'll go play nice with the other competitors. I'd suggest you do the same if you've got time after getting your good luck." With that SCaT takes a look around for any droids near the starting line.

[Raven Cadera]

"Weird..." She murmured under her breath and lowered her tone. "So it's not just me who thought so, huh?"

"Well, he'd better be! He seemed to talk a really big game to be a disappointment." She gave a small shrug afterwards. "No pressure or anything, I guess I got a free ride 'home' out of it. Should be exciting stuff, probably the few amounts of fun people see around here without Imperials showing up with their ugly mugs...even then, I wouldn't put it past them."

Raven chuckled, patting Soleene on the shoulder. "Might be weird, but he's our weirdo, right?" At the mention of the competition, and then Imps, she nodded along slowly. "Mm, might happen. Not that I think they come down here all that often."

Spotting some familiar heads in the crowd, the Mandalorian woman grew thoughtful for a moment. "I had a chance to speak to the one you mentioned to me before... the one claiming to be one of us." There seemed to be dismay to her words.

[Tenzing]

Seeing Korvin and hearing the crowd starting to clamour Tenzing turned to find a bookie. He raised his voice so the kid could hear. "Alright then. 250 credits on Korvin and Ruby."

Raven wasn't wrong about Clay and she did bob of her head a few times with what could have been a smile behind the helmet.

She tilted her head at the particular person she was talking about. "Oh? So he finally ran into one of us? Hm, I take it that it didn't go all that well. Were there fists thrown, at least?"

Dhel offers Tens a grin. "Oh hey! Yeah, it's been an age since I was down here at all, but..." she gestures at the race prep, catches Korvin's wave, and rises up on her toes to wave back over the folks gathered.

"Well. the 'kid' if you mean Korvin there is part of how things are. Nice to have some dancing with the singing, so to speak, you know? Moved out to the spaceport for a bit...which is a whole story, but gives everyone more room at home with Pa back." Her grin seems a bit more held in place for a moment, before she continues on. And you should stop by the Cave sometime. Been doing some pairing up with Sholua...green gal? I'm sure you've seen her dance before."

Tilting her head around him a little, she watches Nara set up with a laugh. "Oh, well, I guess we'll have a real cheering section going."

"But how've you been then? Not in my neck of the woods as much, getting work?"

"But... hmm... it was going... fine? I guess? Was being the important word here." Shrugging, she turned to face Soleene fully. "I... honestly, I still don't quite know how to process it since I never thought I'd meet a dar'manda ever. Always seemed like some kind of boogeyman that you'd tell kids about, you know? But, there he was, saying it clear as day."

There was a moment of pause. "Probably best not to think about it, I guess. It is a fate worse than death for our people, all things considered."

"Thanks Scat," Korvin says with a kind smile. "I appreciate you."

Nara reaches back and pats her rifle, it's like getting a hug from a gun all day long.

Dhel helps with a small hop into that kiss, laughing as they part. "Hey, careful. Wouldn't want to throw your back out right before the race!" Granted, she's small enough that she's probably not much of a challenge for anyone to lift. Rising up on her toes, she adds a peck to his cheek. "For luck!"

"You and Ruby ready?"

She glances at Nara. "You need to add a camera to one of the guns, then you'd always have it."

After what seemed like an elongated moment of silence, she spoke once more. "I kind of thought he was just a little 'off' and just needed to be steered in the right direction. Hmm, I guess my intuition was wrong. Sorry about that huge waste of time if I had anything to do with it."

Lassa watched the proceedings calmly from the side... a slight smile developing on the corners of her mouth as time passed.

"I'm not saying that you would do something like that...just saying that I would have wished I had the first honour if you did." She nodded back.

"Huh..." She murmured in realization before turning her head slightly to the side, maybe in thought or she was stewing her emotions. It seemed like she was at a loss.

After what seemed like an elongated moment of silence, she spoke once more. "I kind of thought he was just a little 'off' and just needed to be steered in the right direction. Hmm, I guess my intuition was wrong. Sorry about that huge waste of time if I had anything to do with it."

"Nothing you need to apologise for," Raven assured her sister. "Not your burden to bear, though... I don't know. I feel like if I ask Dredgen about it, he'd probably suggest something violent as the answer, Praxton would probably advise offering guidance."

At that particular subject, Raven wasn't sure if she agreed with her partner. But it had never been a topic she had needed to give much thought before. Mand'alor on the other hand, she felt pretty sure what his answer would be.

"You may choose to do as you think is best though. I won't stop you. Perhaps you know better than I do, having spoken more to him." Making your own calls, for better or worse, was part of the way of life.

Nelk walks into the bar with confidence and finds a seat at the bar with a good view of a monitor. She calls the barkeep over and asks for a tall glass of Airag, as well as ask to place a bet. "1,000 credits on Qar Offee to win it." She was hoping her little racer-boy friend would pull through and make her a nice little profit, but if he didn't at least she'd enjoy chastising him.

"High roller," Torr walks up behind her, "could it be that someone is sweet on a certain green skin?" He teases arrogantly. "200 credits on Qar coming in second! Another 200 on Korvin Hikarrin."
