I Dream Of Raven [D7, LA. Manka Cats Rule]

[Raven Cadera]

It had been a staple the past week or so that Raven had shared some of the food with Manny's crew... or should she say roommates, at this point? It felt like a pretty fluid border there between crew and roommates.

As tonight was going to be a fight, she had cooked up plenty for the group, and made extra to share with the others. And made sure that the portions she had put aside for them wasn't as spicy as the Mandalorians ate their food.

Walking up to the ship, Raven buzzed at the panel at the ship's door.

[Sholua Tempes]

Sholua was first to respond to the buzz and she thumped the panel release while shouting down the ramp.

"It's open. If Manny owes you credits he hasn't got any!"

[Manny Donos]

"Mblergh..." Manny said from somewhere deeper inside the ship, his mblergh only distantly audible.

[Raven Cadera]

"Uh... hm.... I don't think he owes me any money," came the first response as she stepped inside.

Removing her helmet with her free hand, she made the universal call that would get most people's attention. "I brought food!"

[Sholua Tempes]

"Oh that's fine then. Come on up!"

Was the replying shout to that.

[Raven Cadera]

"Figured that would be the answer," she chuckled. Usually it had been Dhel she gave the food to, sometimes Manny.

... Where was the Bothan? She had heard something she thought was Manny groaning.

"Where's everyone at?" Raven shouted back, moving into the ship trying to remember where everything was. Kitchen would probably be a good idea to look for.

[Sholua Tempes]

"Dhel's around somewhere I think. She was earlier anyway. Too Many I haven't seen today and Cutey is moaning about life the galaxy and everything somewhere back there."

She indicated over her shoulder deeper into the ship. She, herself, was sat at the common area table, cross legged on a chair and reading a datapad of what looked like actually technical specifications of the ship they were on.

[Raven Cadera]

"Ah, I see."

What Manny was groaning about was a curious question. It was long past morning!

"Figured you guys would be interesting in something not eggy as well." Raven placed the bagged boxes of food on the common area table, looking Sholua over. "Sholua was it, yes?"

[Sholua Tempes]

"Light anything that isn't eggs please . . . . Yup Sholua, and I hope you're the Raven that made the sweet bread Honey shared this morning? Otherwise Manny knows multiple Ravens."

She also had no idea what Manny was groaning about. He'd been up and about already today hadn't he?

[Raven Cadera]

Honey? Oh... right.

"Oh, she did now? That's good. And yes that would be me, I don't think Manny knows any one else by that name... and if he does, he hasn't told me. And you bet he probably wouldn't shut up about it if he did." Raven chuckled, knowing well enough by now how Manny's brain worked.

"Curry. No eggs guaranteed." She gave the boxes a few confirming pats at that.

[Manny Donos]

"Argh!" The lights briefly flickered, and then came back on. "Ouch! Whoops, that does not go there!"

It seemed Manny's voice was coming from the engine room.

[Sholua Tempes]

Sholua seemed about to say something about the curry when the lights flickered. She rolled her eyes.

"Trust him to mess with things. I can fly this bucket but I don't know how to repair it when it breaks."

She leaned back.

"YO CUTEY!!! Friend here with food if you've got time before you dump the reactor core!"

[Raven Cadera]

Raven glanced up at the flickering lights, one hand on her helmet that she hadn't quite put away yet.

"... Should we be concerned?" she asked after Sholua had yelled at Manny.

[Manny Donos]

It seemed almost like the word 'food' had just left Sholua's lips, and Manny appeared. He flashed her a grin, and waved at Raven.

"Hey, Raven. What's up?" He glanced back and forth between the two of them. "Sholua, did you say something about food?" His nose twitched, detecting the scents...

[Raven Cadera]

"Well we know you can't cook," Raven retorted with a mirthful chuckle. "Anything but egg-dishes, that is."

"I'm just here to make sure you and your, uh, crew, have something proper to eat. Build some muscles, you know."

Indeed, it smelled of spicy, delicious, curry.

[Sholua Tempes]

"If it's egg free I'll have it."

She looked at Manny and shrugged.

"You've got to get some variety into your diet, Cutey."

[Manny Donos]

Manny cast a quick glance between the two of them reddening slightly. "Hey, it's not like I have no muscles." He waved his arms at his sides in an undulating pattern, one going down while the other went up. "I'm wiry."

"Ooh, is that what I think it is? Let me get some bowls." A pause. "And some milk. I mean, I like hot sauce, but whoaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa..." Opening the cabinet, he tossed a few bowls down, catching them with his other hand, and setting them on the table.

[Sholua Tempes]

"Don't mind me, but the hotter the better."

She considered helping Manny . . . but he had things in hand. Both hands.

[Raven Cadera]

Raven chuckled at Sholua's words. "Dangerous words to speak to a Mandalorian; we do traditionally like our food very spicy. What I brought here to share with you isn't as spicy as how we eat it... I know Manny can be a bit of a wimp," she teased with good humor.

Since Manny was busy with bowls and what-not, she took a seat and began removing her armored gloves. "But if this isn't spicy enough, I'm sure we'll have the chance some other time to share proper Mandalorian food."
