The Case of the Mysterious Sapphire [D6|EE]

It wasn't every day he got to move in these circles. "Of course." He looked at her carefully. "This all seems straightforward enough, so I'll assume there's a catch and deal with it." The folder and datavault were tucked away into his jacket.

"Then we can discuss your big job." The old fire reignited. He had a case...

[Meiyokashi]

"I'm looking forward to seeing your performance," she smiles, there's a menace to her for sure. A woman with a long and bloodied past, which surely wasn't a surprise with a scar like that. With a nod he was dismissed and she saw to relighting the pipe that rested on her desk.

[Tenzing]

I bet you are Saph, I bet you are.

Rising from the table he nodded politely and saw himself out of her office. She was quite a piece of work. He wondered how his mysterious new friend had gotten to know her well enough to recommend him.

Watching him go she rose, and then walked back toward the window in thought as he got out the door. Alone outside again he had his time for thoughts while walking along the walk, down the stairs, but as he would reach the bottom the young woman who greeted him at the door was waiting there in civilian clothes, expensive enough to make his first appraisal seem true, but civilian clothes nonetheless.

Grand. Shouldn't be too hard to find. His thoughts had turned to the challenge before him but the appearance of the young woman from earlier brought a smile to his face.

"Hello again. Seems your shift is over as mine is about to begin." Judging the mood he continued. "I can't work a case on an empty stomach though. Care to join me for dinner?"

[Meiyokashi]

"And I was just about to ask if I could at least walk you out," she says with a bright, but softened laugh. Stepping over a little she held her arm out a little, seeking his. "I'd love to," she looks up to him, smiling pleasantly.

[Tenzing]

Taking her arm he nodded happily. "If you'd said no I was hoping to at least catch your name. I'm Tenzing." Seemed it was his night afterall. But how long would it last? In this town, good luck was fleeting. Then again, so was life...

[Meiyokashi]

"Maggie," she happily got in close as he took her arm. "Caught more than that, shall we?" she gives a nod toward the door before smiling back up to him. It would be the start of a pleasant evening for sure, and one- she hoped- which wouldn't end too quickly, and with at least one more wardrobe change.
