Dhel had been headed to the printing press to drop off some leftover day-old pastries Dol had passed along when the sight of those helmets in trucks froze her to a shadow. Couldn't call, she didn't know who was there and the coms would all be listened to now, for sure. What else??
Shadowing the trucks through side alleys, she spots someone stepping from a several story office for a smoke. The outfit said maintenance, probably cleaning through the night...and she had an idea. She toyed with her datapad and strolled by, striking up her usual flirtatious conversation, a touch here, an almost-kiss there, and it wasn't at all hard to continue the conversation inside.
Where she could offer a mischievous grin "OK, so I have to tell you about this...before we're all distracted and I forget..." she says with a very promising grin as she pulls out her datapad. "Watch this..." All it is is a simple light pattern, long long short long, repeated five times. "This has been like, viral on my holonet music groups. You're supposed to go to your room with the biggest window and flip the lights in this pattern for good luck. Mostly it's just kind of neat knowing about it and spotting someone's lights flashing you know? But...you have to do it right away and go tell at least three other people in the next three days or it's bad luck instead."
This place has some huge windows, she says, draping herself over Doram's shoulders as he looked at the datapad. "Want to go flash from the top of this place, and keep ourselves occupied there a bit while we see if anyone else answers?"
Unfortunately, he found the whole chain letter thing laughable...which was kind a huge turn off. Dhel left in a bit of a huff. His loss.
But he was distracted for that little bit if anyone else was nearby and wanted to slip in.

There was some physical work that Soleene could do to contribute to this. She tried to find perhaps one of the taller buildings in the area but many of them had been barred from entry by either gates or debris. Thankfully, some of them were barely connected by planks and ladders that were likely laid by some of the locals or just by some teen who was seeking the thrill of adrenaline. She quickly tipped toed through a beam that was marked with yellow paint but found the next way had collapsed entirely. It wasn't far but would take a wide jump.
She had seen some people getting around by sheer will of athletic ability and strength in her home city. Jump from roof to roof. How hard could it be? Finding some running distance, she charged forward and leapt toward the ledge ahead of her...to only slam against the building with her body. She held on, thankfully, and hefted herself up with a grunt. "Ugh...but par'kour looks so easy..."
Once she found her spot, she waved a makeshift torch to get the attention of the others.

Since meeting inside, Zim, Sol, Tenzing and Sholua had spent some time talking to each other, telling each there tids and bits they'd heard and seen in the last days, and generally trying to understand what it was Mylar was doing with the setup - at least in Zim's case, as she was far from a techhead.
From time to time, Zim and Tenzing looked outside the windows, and/or at the storefront. Increased imperial presence had shown its ugly head at the Motel just the night before, and that event with Petra was still on everyone's minds... so it would make sense to be careful.
After some time, they did notice some signs, here and there. Zim's tendrils flailed about a few times, and Tenzing mentioned he had noticed some things that seemed off...
All in all, they felt there might be something happening. Zim felt jittery, which led her to keep going to the windows more often, and finally even decide to go up to the roof to try to see if she could pinpoint anything.
For now, though, it kept only as a feeling...

It seemed quiet, but something wasn't quite right. If things aren't working, try differently. Tenzing pulled out his electrobinoculars and took a good long look around while Zim felt out the surroundings with her tendrils.
Switching things up seemed to help...although they probably weren't going to like whatever it was they found.

Suddenly he saw it.. all the odd things happening tonight had a pattern in a direction that seemed to follow one street, and then another, and then- an Imperial convoy bearing down on their position coming from the Spire itself. They were close, too close, but luckily they were already on their feet and ready to act but-
Down below a generator explodes! (Despair from early game even) Fire lurching out and catching along the bottom one of their escape routes was cut off, one of the important ones as with the Empire this close the chance of simply running was slim when it came to evading the Imperials and very likely to lead to having to face stormtroopers.
First things first.. they had to clear the flames, or they could always take off running.
[Option 1: Run for it.]
Taking this option locks the players taking it into a separate encounter where they just try to run and get lost within the city before the Empire can find them. It's risky, very risky, and someone's almost bound to get caught even if most might make it out.
[Taking this step necessitates deciding who's running on their own, and who's sticking together.]
[Option 2: On this sinking ship together.]
Unblocking the tunnel and getting out that way is the best way to ensure everyone gets out. However, it's also the best way to potentially waste time trying to get through a tunnel that might be closed off entirely. If it was.. and the Empire got here while they were trying to clear it out? Everyone goes down together at least.
There's two fire extinguisher devices that can be tossed into the flames which will then disperse. However, the ones accessible on this floor are a little further than one would normally have hoped for. A "round" may be used to decrease the difficulty of the check by 1. Every round spent means less time to escape.

They didn't have long. The Empire was coming and somehow the building was on fire. Not exactly optimal conditions.
Tenzing and Shoula sprang into action, both of them sprinting for the fire extinguishers and hurling them into the flames. Between Shoula's natural Agility and Tenzing's perfect aim, they easily dispersed the flames. It had felt natural, working with the Mirialan like that. Reminded him of something from his past... no time for that now though.

Down below things were a mess and Mylar was down nearby in a coughing fit with all the smoke that'd been billowing out of this place. Taking the moment to sit and try to recuperate the others would have to make the way forward. Running down the stairs was simple enough, with the fire cleared they were able to get to the bulkhead door, but hopefully it wasn't damaged!

And when they do open it they are greeted with a pile of rubble. With time clicking down, the sounds of the vehicles pulling up to the building outside, they can feel as the noose tightens around their necks.
Now they just have to get through that rubble...

This check starts at this difficulty due to the tight space. However, his check can be reduced in a number of ways.

Others can help clear the rubble before they try to slide through, this is an Athletics check at Average but takes up one rounds worth of time. [Two characters may attempt this check at a time per round given the space.available.]

Looking to the others guiding him through he coughed a bit but managed up a, "Thanks," and then made his way toward the crevice. Trying to get through a bit of the rubble shifted onto him, causing a slight panic he fell back out of the hole. "Kriff.." he nervously chuckles, "Did not like how that felt.."
Luckily, however, with his body causing a shift the rubble should be a bit easier to clear out. However...
