(D6, ME The Cave) Singin' in the (almost) Rain

That got a curious look. Giving it a thought, Raven wondered if it might have something to do with what Phroth said about a dark malignant presence in the swamp...

"I will let him know. Tomorrow should be fine for a meeting."

He nodded "Good. Much to tell." He relaxed some attention drifting again though she of anyone may be able to tell body language of mild stress.

"As for the Swamp general. Many predators. Some placed more than others. Biggest ove seen is a pack of Rathar." He took a drink "giant...desert....Crab?" He sounded confused as if he had never heard of such a thing. He shrugged "big galaxy."

"Yeah, this isn't really the place for dancing." He replied with a shake of his head. "Well other then that kind." He continued motioning to the pole. "And I'm pretty sure that's not what you had in mind."

He took a sip of his drink. "I might ask my friend if he knows a place like that though, if he does I could let ya know."

“That does sound nice... I don’t share these women’s athleticism unfortunately. If you find a good place let me know.”

"Big galaxy, alright," she chuckled. "Giant sand dragons elsewhere, so why not an overgrown crab-thing. But..." Raven had another sip of drink, "Rathtar, you say? Don't think I've fought that before. Do share the tale."

He took a sip of his own drink "probably not so dangerous as a giant sand crab." He said with a hint of amusement "Escorting a scientist. Wanted to get samples from the Swamp. One emerged from the trees great big body with whipping tentacles longer than I am tall, sharp teeth, a great number of eyes.we felled that one easily but two more came out and we fought them but they eventually fled when they could tell we were no easy prey."

He reached down and pulled a long tooth from a pouch on his leg it was nearly a foot long and clearly sharp "took this as a trophy."

The Mandalorian looked approvingly at the battle trophy. "Good memory to have with you," she remarked, admiring the size of the thing for a moment. "Sounds like quite the show too! I hope to be able to have such a hunt myself soon... there is something refreshing about besting beasts and nature. It's just different, hunting people and hunting beasts."

She considered the details once more with a different thought now. "Think there will be more of them if we go into the swamp?"

"Indeed. The sport of the hunt is thrilling. The edge of death, something instinctual, primal." He replied as he put the tooth back in his pocket.

He considered her question for a bit "it's possible but I would be surprised. Big predators can't be too many in the swamp."

It seemed to her to be a big relief that he understood what she meant. So many outsiders didn't understand the difference between a thrilling hunt, and a glorious combat with a human opponent.

"Hm, good point. There's a limit to how many big beasties might roam within one area..." armored fingers tapped against the glass in thought. "Shame we haven't seen any action here otherwise the past weeks though, against the Imps. But I can respect command for being cautious."

He nodded taking another drink "hopefully you're finding ways to keep occupied eh?" A small chuckle

"But we knew when we joined we might not be needed for a while if ever."

[Raven Cadera]

"Sure, I have, but nothing like a good fight or a hunt," she remarked, with some mix of emotions. Of course, she was fully dedicated to her task and the pursuit of revenge, but... well, like any true warrior, she craved to test her mettle in battle.

"Have you hunted much before?"

[Dhelih Dotaivi]

She hung down from the pole.

"Sure, after our set. Oh, One Liner? Don't mind him, he just does menacing aura without even trying. Bit like Too Many does. Not sure they can turn it off."

"Huh, he doesn't have nearly the size to make it so automatic. But good to know." Dhel shifts from conversation into showtime mode, encouraging the audience to join in on choruses. "The louder you are, the fancier the moves get!"

There are more songs, more dances in the set, but time marches inevitably on, and eventually, Dhel's emptying the tip bucket and hopping off the stage to allow the next act time to set up. The small sack of credits vanishes into a pocket to split up back at the ship as she settles by Korvin again, waiting on introductions until she knows if Sholua's joining them in dance costume or heading backstage to change first.

Korvin, who'd clearly gotten distracted enough by the show and his guard dog routine to forget his manners, quietly made sure at the last minute that a 50-cred chip was in the bag for each of them, and politely ignored whatever other entertainment might exist once Dhel was back beside him.

[Sholua Tempes]

Probably to most people's surprise, Sholua did in fact head backstage to change before sauntering over to Dhel and Korvin. She gave Deonis a nod on the way past.

"So Honey, who is this pretty Pantoran?"

Dhel slips an arm around his waist as she tucks herself up beside the mentioned Pantoran. With an informality that erases last names, she offers a quick introduction. "This is Korvin." She looks up at him with a smile. "Don't expect to hear that much though. Sholua's great at nicknames."

"And...well obviously then, this is Sholua. Dancer and roommate. Shipmate? Shipmate."

[Korvin Hikarrin]

"Shipmate, huh?" Korvin asks with curiosity, trying not to be entirely distracted by Dhel's proximity. "Sounds like there's a story there." He smiles politely, and makes sure he has an arm around Dhel.

"There is. A bucket of tips, a raw egg, two posters and a film about Wookiee skeleton punching."

She looked at Dhel.

"I think that covers the high points."

She would receive a nod in return and a credit stick slid to the edge of the table.

Which had been scooped up on the way past. Never one to turn down the funds for a meal!

She didn't seem the type to strut around in next to nothing either, not that he was going to say that out loud.

"Will do, may not be in the next day or so but i'll let ya know. Just sending a meassge at the motel the best way?"

Which had been scooped up on the way past. Never one to turn down the funds for a meal!

When she checked it Shoula would see 100 credits on it.

Raven felt a momentary pang of guilt for being short on funds to tip Dhel and Sholua properly, but she figured she'd continue to pay with food anyway the next days.

"Like bounty hunting? I've done a fair share of that myself. Tracking someone in a city is quite different from tracking them out in the wild... but, yeah the hunt can be pretty similar." She smirked briefly. "If we're heading into that swamp then, it might come in handy that I have training in surviving the wilderness and following trails. If there's anything to track, that is."

"I envy you that fight with the rathtars though. I've hardly had the chance to keep my fighting skills sharp these days... training only takes you so far."

He nodded "Bounty Hunting sounds about right."

When she brought up training he nodded again "Indeed unless you train in a way that keeps you sharp." He had some flashbacks to watching others train in deadly combat losing limbs or occasionally dying.

"True conflict is the only thing that really makes us stronger. Training and working out can only do so much as you said."
