Even Mandalorian Need Rest (D10, Mid-Afternoon. Mando Safehouse)

[Praxton]

The teen went to grab a beer and stood in the corner. Brooding. Watching. They don't know about how to do kip-ups.

Another resident had awoken to the smell of food; the resident mini-panther was slinking around in hopes of snatching something tasty.

Praxton walks over to Varina, not saying anything but handing her over her dish with that special brief moment of acknowledgement and a nod. Looking over his shoulder back to Raven he smiles, a touch awkward- like he didn't do it often enough, "I hide the good spices," he teases, a little monotone but the lie was evident enough.

[Soleene Stryss]

"Good," she smiles, brushing her back gently before pulling her hand back slowly along it until she could reach down and find Soleene's. Looking up into her eyes she rocks a little in that little happy moment. Slipping hers into Soleene's she interlocks her fingers without much fanfare, "Nowhere that can't wait for me. Want to show me those badges of honor? Or-" she shrugs, "whatever else?" she laughs lightly, a brightness to the smile.

Soleene was sure to put the bag she was holding with the other on the table. They were well-appreciated gifts but likely something she would look into much later. She allowed Sofia to take her hand, which she gave a little squeeze in return while her other hand passively circled on the small of her back.

That question might have been humoured some days ago while in front of insufferable Imperials and haughty people of status. However, she was admittedly in a house with her brother and sisters. This made things a bit awkward. There was a blush on her pink cheeks that formed easily enough before she chuckled nervously. "Ah...well, if you don't have to go anywhere anytime soon...I was thinking you should probably come in and meet the others, have some food with us."

She bit the corner of her lip, as she spoke through the corner of her mouth and tried to seem subtle about it. "...maybe we can consider the badges later?""

[Sofia Hargrave]

Handing over the other bag, this one with treats from the bakery- little did she know Dhel also brought some, she uses the now free hand to take off her glasses and rest them in the front of her shirt. Watching Soleene, smiling brightly at the blush, she nods and leans up at the suggestion. Free hand to hold Soleen's cheek and guide her in she gives a quick affectionate kiss on the lips, "I'd love to, and I'll behave," she promises with a wink.

However, before she settles back down she leans in further brushing along Soleene's cheek with her own a little to get closer to her ear, on a whisper, "For now, badges later," she laughs a very soft laugh and then kisses her cheek before settling back down.

"So, who am I gettin' introduced to?" she says, falling back on her feet there's a little pep-based bounce.

Raven was unbothered by the others seeing the glances and smiles exchanged, as her knuckles pressed briefly against her lips as she smiled back to him. "Oh, so we're being cheeky now," she teased in return, in a language not everyone understood, but the meaning probably wasn't lost on the others. There was a sense of ease to her that hadn't been seen in her since the wedding. Just a feeling of being comfortable and pleased with this little moment right now.

Glancing to Soleene and her guest, she waited for them to make the introductions as she moved next to Varina, nudging the younger one's shoulder with her own.

"mew" said the little black kitten, circling Varina and Raven with pleading eyes asking for food.

Her hand joined Sofia's on her cheek as they shared that kiss on the lips. She beamed afterwards, even if she found the kiss a tad shorter than she would have liked. However, she reminded herself that they've gotten carried away before and it was best to keep things small. She laughed as their cheeks touched, savouring the short affectionate moment before they parted.

While they weren't standing so closely together, Soleene did gladly take her by the hand to lead her further inside and closed the door behind her once she was in. "Well...I'm going to introduce you to my family and friends, pretty much!"

She would bring Sofia to the common room with all of the delicious food and everyone else. "Hey everyone, this is Sofia and she's here for a bit. Meet Raven and Praxton, Varina, Dhelih, and Manny."

[Sofia Hargrave]

Stepping in, lead in as she was, Sofia comes up close to Soleene's side, other hand coming up to rest on her bicep as she looks over the room. With a light laugh she shakes her head a little, "I know.. more faces than I don't know," she says with a laugh, giving everyone a brief wave.

[Dhelih Dotaivi]

Dhel raises a hand in greeting. "Hey, Sofia! Nice to meet you. Have to admit, I'm jealous you got through that stylish purple armor. I'd really have tried harder if I knew how cute she was underneath there." The affection in the room is infectious, and Dhel's smile is definitely on the side of gentle teasing rather than actual jealousy.

Her ears twitch at the tiny mew, and she turns toward the sound. "Have you named your fierce little hunter yet, Raven?"

[Varina Ordo]

Varina groaned. Suddenly she was surrounded by people again. "What, what? I'm trying to enjoy my beer here."

Still, it was difficult to be surly when one was before a cat. She glanced around and shrugged a bit playfully. "I don't have anything for you other than my beer. You should learn to scavenge though."

[Sofia Hargrave]

"Pleasure," she gives a quick nod. "Didn't see her in armor then but-" she leans into Soleene a little, a smirk growing, "I'd tell you how much I agree, but I promised I'd behave," she smirks, once more nudging into Soleene a little. Glancing up to her with that tease of a short nose-shake.

"Infected by the good mood," he returns, similarly in Mando'a. Seeing the plate just to the side where Varina can easily claim it for herself he gave a brief- very brief- wave toward Sofia and continued back toward the kitchen. Collecting a few more plates for anyone who didn't have one yet and making this his mission. Praxton was good when he had mission.

[Soleene Stryss]

Soleene gave Dhel a faint smile with a questioning tilt of her head, wondering if she was trying to make Soleene a bigger catch for Sofia or there was something else. Admittedly, the armour did add several points into her obtuse stat while wearing it and Sofia did catch her when she was without it.

She would chuckle at the nudge from Sofia. "I don't think agreeing is misbehaving. You did catch me in a really rare time when I wasn't wearing my armour, funny enough...I was in the worst mood without it too, it's so much easier to keep a straight face while wearing a helmet."

[Raven Cadera]

The kitten took Varina's advice... by following the human that was moving into the kitchen: the spawning-point for food. So Praxton got treated to the pleading cacophony of "mew meeew meeeeeew mew." (I smell food in here. Gimmeeee!!)

"Ah, no I haven't thought of a name yet," Raven replied to Dhel between bites of food. "Maybe a Mandalorian name, like a name that would mean hunter or something..."

She cast a smile over to Varina. "Don't forget to eat too, hm? Drinking on an empty stomach is just going to spoil the beer."

[Manny Donos]

"Hey, feed Manka, too!" Manny called, releasing his fierce battle beast as well.

He waggled his eyebrows at Raven. "Does that mean Antilles is still on the table? Eh? Eh?"

[Dhelih Dotaivi]

Dhel mobilizes to secure a plate. At least they were going in to a climactic night well-fed. "Don't behave on my account! But I've now learned two valuable lessons about the value of peeling folks out of their armor and *then* flirting. Been going about it all backwards before, thinking that flirting'd get them out of the armor, but no..."

She watches Manka, tail straight in the air, beelining for her sibling to join the kitten chorus of 'please, sir, we're staaaarving,' mews. "Or a name that means expert beggar?"

[Raven Cadera]

At least Praxton would be well aware of the tiny felines given they weren't exactly quiet in their approach.

"Antilles will be your next cat, Manny." She remarked between bites of food, but was mostly listening to Dhel talk.

"Wait," a pause to swallow food, "... you weren't flirting with me, right?" Raven sounded surprised, like she was finally connecting the dots in a picture.

[Sofia Hargrave]

"I just had to turn that frown upside down," she says, a smile directed up to Soleene. Taking the hand held she moves it, and ducks, so that Soleene's arm can come around over her shoulders. Breaking the hold for a moment to re-adjust she takes the hand again from across her chest. "And you don't know just how.. much detail I would give to agreeing," she smirks, and then nudges her with her shoulder a little again.

Looking around the room, "So.. how many of you are like this one then? I know she," she glances to Varina, "doesn't.." she glances to Manny, commenting nothing, and then Raven, "She's a face I haven't seen. Not.. quite my type, but pretty in her ways. Oh- and by the way, if she said you were pretty at all while in the armor," she leans forward as much as she can under Soleene's arm, a little wink, "she was probably flirting. You.. folk like your armor but it really isn't flattering," she laughs lightly.

[Praxton]

Praxton was very careful as he handed Dhel one of the plates he was carrying over the mewling cats. Steady of foot placement, watch the little things, remember you can crush them accidentally, all those little thoughts one had when they weren't quite used to small furry creatures running around.

[Dhelih Dotaivi]

Dhel takes the plate with a grin as a kitten pounces on her foot. “Well, sure, how could I resist?” she answers Raven over her shoulder, with a wink for Praxton. “Besides, you pretty much bought me dinner.

Returning to a seat so she could balance the on one knee and eat, she pauses a moment to raise a hand. “Not part of this group,” then point at Manny, “part of that one.”

[Varina Ordo]

Varina meandered over to her food and began to pick at it, tearing apart sinews and searching for gushing goop. How many had died by her hand again?.

Ah but the others were unperturbed. Surely that's why they were pairing off, as it were. She resigned herself to returning to her kindred spirit, the stray cat. "I don't know if any of this would be good for you. I should get more kibble for you." Get as in steal, of course.

She looked up with her classic surly expression at Dhel. "Flirting happens when both are in armor too, you know. That's more of a Mandalorian custom though, isn't it?"

[Raven Cadera]

Raven was blushing, and hoping to hide her blushing by eating more. She wasn't sure if it was Sofia's comment or Dhel's teasing that flustered her, or knowing that she had been too obtuse to intepret Dhel's friendliness as flirting.

"Uh, I... wouldn't know. I guess," she responded to Varina. "... he's the flirty one, at least when sparring." Which wasn't quite true, or nescessarily false if you asked Raven, as in her opinion Praxton had started it by... being himself mostly, but that was beside the point!

Varina at least had the most captivated audience with the felines. Purring and stretching to sniff, pawing after her food.
